Well priced, delivered to my door 2 days earlier than promised, and makes great sammies
Makes a quick breakfast sandwich without using multiple pans. Quick.
Great Little Appliance for a quick tasty breakfast!
Makes pretty good English muffins with Egg, Ham, cheese, etc. Really pretty easy to use and does a good job. Comes apart easy for cleanup as well. Good Item, but could use an on/off switch.
I've only used this twice in the 2.5 weeks I've owned it but I'm feverishly plotting all the different types of sandwiches or snacks I can assemble in this baby. I fried red onions in the lower plate for my first breakfast sandwich (used two cut-out pieces of naan for the bread) and after a few minutes added microwaved bacon, old cheddar, tomato slice to the top plate. I allowed the egg to cook for awhile so it wasn't too raw. It was a tad messy but piping hot and oh very yummy. I'm thinking a leftover turkey and bacon club muffin next.
This is the best invention ever. The only thing that I do not like...........is the egg is bigger than the English muffin. That turns me off. I cut the edges with scissors because it doesn't look right. All in all the taste is fantastic, delicious and it stays hot for a very long time. It takes only 5 minutes to cook two of them at the same time. This would make a lovely gift. Buy it. You will just love it.
I bought this after seeing my father-in-law use his! I got the double sandwich maker because of my family of 5! It's quick, easy to use - EASY TO CLEAN!!! and the time it takes to fire off 6 sandwiches -- amazing! It's a quick way to have breakfast, lunch or dinner!!! I cant say enough awesome things about this machine!
we had first purchased the single breakfast sandwich maker, but then quickly upgraded to the dual one. We use if for so much more than breakfast, which is better than Mcdonalds. It is great for mini english muffin pizzas, etc. The only thing I wish it had was an on/off button instead of having to always unplug it.
This works really well and is great for convenience sake but I can definitely make these faster on a stove top and toaster. The egg is much bigger than the size of english muffins making it a bit awkward to hold. Overall though, this is great for my 13 year old son to make his own sandwich in the morning (he used to make scrambled egg/omelet style in the microwave before). We are a family of 6 so if I am cooking for everyone, I would not get this out but if it's just for one person, it will do the trick. There is a beeper that allows you to know when the time is up but that timer does not turn the unit off. You need to be on hand to take the sandwich out of the machine which is really quite simple to do. It takes between 4-5 minutes per sandwich (not including initial pre-heating time) and if you need to make more than just one batch then you must wait 2 minutes to ensure that the machine has had a chance to preheat to the right temperature again.
Nothing mentioned on the box about not using store bought egg whites, but it is mention in the manual. I tried it once, and it was a mess during cooking so it was returned. Doubled the time to make breakfast sandwiches over the "old fashioned" method.
