We bought this thinking it solved our problem with me and my wife preferring two strengths of coffee and one of us taking a mug to work with us but after 2 months everything seem to break down on this FlexBrew. The pods were too small a serving for either of us so we used either the carafe side or the brew basket which is hard to clean due to the very fine screen and hard to find to replace. The fast injection of hot water will cause coffee to shoot out the top and leak all down the front if it's not 100% clean and unclogged. The water fill lids warp over time and won't shut all the way. If your like us and have it against a wall you will have to pull it out as the narrow water reservoirs in the back are hard to fill without spilling water everywhere. The carafe side is a lot slower brewing than any other coffee makers we've ever owned but we noticed it takes about 25% less coffee than the single serve side. For those using K-cup pods of cappuccino or hot chocolate, you'll notice a weak flavor as 1/4 to 1/3 of the product is left in the pods and it's better to just rip open the tops and dump it into hot water and stir. It doesn't happen all the time and could be because of poor shelf life of the product.

I absolutely love this machine, I have the option of brewing a whole pot of coffee or just one cup of coffee. Some days all I want is just a cup of coffee and I don’t want to have to wash a whole pot out just because I made one cup of coffee. This is the fantastic machine it works great and i look foward to many, many mornings , afternoons, and evening cups of coffee

I thought I was a Keurig lifer. However recently I started missing the option to set my brew for the morning when I woke up and having a big pot to last me in the morning on the weekends. I know Keurig offers the Carafe but it honestly doesnt hold that much. So fast fwd, I purchased this one after extensive research. As a person who loves coffee and tea and not as a online reviewer asked to review these products because I got them for free, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. So much that I am selling my Keurig and will never look back. The pod to brew your own coffee on the single serve side is nice and roomy so I dont struggle to empty the spent grinds. The pot holds so much coffee that I cant possibly drink that much so I brew half a pot. At first it's going to seem like the single serve side takes a long time to brew, however it's just sucking up the water for the first time and really there is no difference between Keurigs time and this ones time. I even brewed both at the same time to make sure. I love having hot coffee when I wake up and not having to make a cup while sleepy eyed and wait for it. It is bulkier than I'm used to but to be honest the 2 in one machine makes up for its gerth. I will never go back and that's the honest truth. Plus Keurig can cause sinus issues because it grows bacteria in places the cleaning solution and you cannot reach. Some of you might be reading this to see if you can make a single serve cup while brewing a pot and the answer is no. However you can stop brewing, make a single serve cup on that side, then resume brewing the pot. It really is a win win.

We love that this device has all the features we have been searching for AND bang for buck is great. The features makes this maker complete. You can have a pot or a cup, it has a digital time display, an automatic program feature, an awesome ground coffee basket, if you cant want and need a cup before brewing is complete, it has a drip stop feature, and it has this convenient clear ounce gauge on the single cup side to determine cup filling options! We get up super early for work and its awesome to wake up smelling coffee already brewed and waiting for us. Absolutely love this brew station :)

The full pot coffee pot works great. The one cup part after about 10 cups and less then 2 weeks old i started getting error of needle needing clean. After every use now i get that error even after cleaning i cant even get a full cup of coffee out

Overall this product is what I wanted. The only thing I don't like is that you have to fill the water to the level of EACH cup size for the pods. If you want a large to-go cup you fill the water reservior to that level, if you fill it for a large cup and use a smaller cup your cup with overfill because you put the amount of water in there for a large cup. There is no button for small or large cup size, it gives you the amount of coffee to the amount of water you put in.

I am so very pleased with the FlexBrew! My biggest pet peeve about coffeemakers is that the coffee never comes out piping hot and I end up microwaving a cup for 20 seconds before it is my preferred temperature. This does not happen with the FlexBrew, I am completely satisfied with how hot the coffee is. Additionally, there is no leaking from the carafe when pouring. The coffee brews pretty quickly and the lack of beeping to signal when brewing is complete is another plus in my eyes. The controls are very easy to use, and programming is super simple. I received the Two Way Flex Brew Coffee Maker from Hamilton Beach for free to review. Overall the coffee maker works great but there are some features that need to be revisited and revised. Firstly, this machine takes up a lot of counter space so if you have a small kitchen or limited counter space this may not be the coffee maker for you. Secondly, the entire machine, except for the carafe is made of plastic. At first I thought this was a drawback but it can be a positive feature especially for people who may have difficulty maneuvering heavy kitchen appliances. The plastic construction makes for a much lighter machine that can easily be moved about. Does the machine perform well? Yes most definitely. I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is and this machine fit us perfectly. He can brew a pot of coffee and I can brew a cup of tea. It would be nice if you could use both features at once but you can only do one at a time but the water heats up rather quickly so brewing an individual cup of coffee or tea does not take long. Additionally I like the fact that you can use ground coffee or tea leaves or a K pod for the individual cup brew feature. The parts were easy to disassemble to clean and reassemble to use. The extra K pod or grounds holder/strainer are stored in its own compartment so everything is where it should be and is neatly put away. The only issues I had was the brew feature does not shut off immediately after brewing but waits until after two hours and that the hinge feature of the carafe makes it difficult to clean the pot and to pour the last of the coffee from the pot. I think it would be better to have a lid with a rubber gasket that can be taken off entirely while maintaining a tight seal when pouring. Overall the features are great. I use this coffee maker at our summer cottage, as we have many visitors, and even though I like to make a full pot every morning, my guests have the option to make a single cup if I am not up yet. We love the option to make the coffee stronger depending on your liking. The full pot stays warm for quite awhile so you can enjoy the coffee throughout the morning. Our only con is that it only makes one single cup at a time, meaning you have to refill the water every time. This has been a great addition to our cottage.
