Old fashioned way is simple, reliable and cheaper than pods. Makes enough for 2 cups (one cup to drink and one for a travel mug to bring to work.) Love the price…could easily purchase another instead of going through the trouble of descaling. Last $20 one lasted around 5 years, it didn't break…just that someone gifted me a Keurig.

It has a swing away basket that makes it easy to empty the used grounds. It's just right for one person if you only want one or two cups. We all like different brands of coffee so there's not much point in brewing a large pot for us. Although it's programmable, we don't use that feature as we're retired. I like that it has an automatic shut off

Best 5 cup pot I have purchased in years. My husband and I drink coffee or tea ALL DAY, so this little guy gets a workout. Coffee at 3am, hot water for tea at 5:30am, more hot water at 11am for bone broth, tea at 3pm, and more tea or hot water for cocoa at 7pm. All day everyday and holding up like a champ. Previous models from assorted manufacturers leaked, steam vented, or were a hassle to load, (Mainstays top loader being the worst). As seniors we look for ease of use and durability, this little Hamilton Beach fits our life style, size requirement, and budget. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We love this little 5 cup Hamilton Beach coffee maker. This makes a pot of coffee super fast, about 5 minutes. I like to use the bold option. Just push the bold button and enjoy a nice smooth rich cup of coffee. This super simple to use and has all key features and functions that I like. My favorite feature is the swing-open brew basket because it opens and lifts right off to dump filter and grounds and then can rinsed or washed by hand or dishwasher. All the others just have a screen that lifts out but you can't wash the rest of it, and old coffee builds up over time and gets pretty nasty. I just empty and rinse mine out every time so stays clean and works great. If you're looking for a small coffee maker that's big on function don't hesitate this one is great.

Unit was defective, but I know Hamilton Beach coffee makers are great. This was a fluke. I had to return it to Walmart. That took two hours. Promised I could go to pickup and enter bar code, but it could not connect. Drove to entrance and got in line at return desk. Meanwhile I called customer service and while I waited in line for 20 minutes the very nice customer service tech tried everything to correct the situation. Got to front of line and they both reviewed the situation and concluded the unit was marked as already returned. Nice people, patient customer service. Walmart under staffs returns. Line behind me grew around the corner!

Small, cute coffee maker. Brews quickly and you can set to brew at a specific time which is a big plus. Only downside is that it's Very small. Works for me because I like 1 large cup of coffee but for someone who wants maybe 2 cups, it wouldn't be big enough.

Easy to use, everything up front. The display panel should be at a slight angle so you can see programs etc, The handle on the pot is a little flimsy compared to my old Farberware. It should beep when coffee is done and wish it came with mesh inert for grounds. I would have paid a few more $. Overall a good value and makes good coffee, nice and hot. I like the light on the front when the pot is on.

Finally an affordable 5cup PROGRAMABLE coffee maker. Works great, easy to program, compact size for my apartment. I absolutely enjoy pouring water in the seperate compartment in the front above the basket. I can even put it in my carry on luggage if need to.

I ordered a new coffee maker and had researched forever to find one I could afford that had reviews that the coffee was hot. Sadly, when I made my first cup I knew this was a mistake. The Hamilton Beach coffee maker was perfect size for me, attractive Black and Stainless that looked great in my kitchen but the first sip was proof it was NOT HOT coffee. Lukewarm is as kind as I can get. So packed it up for a return.

Tried to make coffee 3 times. 1-Does not pause during brewing, there was coffee everywhere. 2-First time I used i all the water did not run thru maker into carafe. 3- Filter caved in and coffee was weak and undrinkable the first 2 attempts. This is garbage and is going back!
