I love most of these meals . This one is my favorite and it won't allow me to get it with my local grocery order it always has to be shipped and once they didn't have the one I wanted and sent me a assortment box most where ones I didn't care for. Wish I could get local each time.

Excellent! Great for one person living alone. EZ put the dinner in the microwave done in no time. No dishes to wash. Tummy full!👍

If frozen, the supplied microwave heating directions do not work at all.

I used to eat frozen dinners many years ago and was always fine with them. I don't very much anymore but when I do I'm still fine with them. I'm not a foodie and don't appreciate the subtitles of a lot of food like a lot of people which probably helps. These completes are similar to frozen meals except I find they tend to have better texture. This Tender Beef and Mashed Potatoes one wasn't bad, not as good as a home-cooked meal of course but it had a nice flavor and texture especially compared to frozen dinners. I didn't need to add any salt to enhance the flavor, and the beef and mash potatoes had distinct textures. I do wish it had more beef and less gravy, they seemed to go very heavy on the gravy, and this was the second one I had which was heavy on the gravy (the first being the Swedish Meatballs). It's not a whole lot of food for an adult male so be prepared to supplement it with a side dish or two. I like that it has no artificial ingredients and that it only takes 60 seconds to heat up.

I tried Hormel Compleats Tender Beef with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy but it was my least favorite. I found several pieces of fatty meat in this dish & the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. Hopefully, the fatty meat was just a fluke with this carton & not something that is found in every meal. Once I got rid of the problem meat pieces, the meal was okay. I would give this another try just to see if the meat is better in a different carton.

I should've stuck to the reviews on Amazon which were pretty bad. I was encouraged based on the Walmart reviews. I've had a pot roast from Hormel and it's fine nothing to write home about but this stuff is terrible. The first package I made exploded in my microwave and so I lost a portion of the small amount of beef they give you. I think the worst part is the smell of the mashed potatoes.
