Hormel Mary Kitchen Corned Beef Hash, Homestyle, 6 Count

The first time I bought it I thought it would not taste like corned beef hash, because it was canned. It turned out to be very good. It shrinks a little more than a little in size when cooked to perfection, but that was half the can getting smaller if I wanted I could have cooked the whole can. It is good.

This is the only brand of corned beef hash I will buy. It is consistantly delicious even though it's from a can. Don't be fooled...this is good stuff!

I have had corned beef hash since I was a young child. It was delicious when cooked with eggs and toast. Now I had the chance to show my children and grandchildren who good this taste using new and creative recipes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I recently purchased 10 cans from a major retailer because I love this stuff. I have opened 4 cans so far and 2 of them were green on the bottom portion and one was turning brown. I ended up throwing them away . I was very disappointed and upset that I wasted almost $10.00 on those cans. Now I'm afraid to open the other cans because of this. I wish I had thought to take a photo of the discoloration and green coloring.The quality had definitely slipped in this production run.

Normally your hash is wonderful, but today opened up two cans and they were totally mushy, not packed tight like usual. Both cans went down the drain. They wouldn't fry up. Numbers on the lid are EST199W BO2186-ES. We will continue to buy this product but thought you would want to know about it.

I have bought this for years and never had a problem until today. I was actually able to poor the hash into the skillet. (2 cans). I knew it wouldn't fry up. I don't know what happen it is normally very firm as you need a spoon to get it out of the can. It was more like hash soup. I will still buy this in hopes that it doesn't turn out like this again.

This is the second time i went for the hormel brand and i had a great first can but the second looked bad and inedible. I work on automated machinery and in other products that have similar issues it typically is a can that was not properly sanitized or a piece of machinery that was contaminated, so i believe the brand and product is good but maybe a call to the facility.

I bought a large can of Hormel Mary Kitchen corned beef hash a couple of weeks ago, and heated up the first half of it a few days later. Something seems different from the last time I bought some, maybe six months ago, and for several decades before that. Has the recipe changed, or the ratio of meat to potatoes, is a different grade of corned beef being used. My first indication that it is not the same is that it doesn't smell as good when it's heating. Usually my mouth would start to water as it's heating, but not this time. It's edible, but just doesn't taste as good as I remember in time past. I'm hoping maybe this can is just from a "bad batch" and when (if) I buy some again, it will smell and taste as good as it used to. Otherwise I will probably stop buying it altogether. I would have recommended this product to a friend, prior to this purchase. Might be hesitant to now.

I gave one star because I used to love Mary Kitchen Reduced Fat Corned Beef Hash in the green can. It is no longer available. The green can now contains Mary Kitchen Reduced Sodium Corned Beef Hash . I'm disappointed

It seems that there is a bad batch of your corned beef hash circulating, with an expiration date of Jan 2022. I just opened a can and found several brown, slimy globs. No way I'm eating this! Hormel, what is going on here? I love your hash, but not when it's rotten!
