I've always loved chili and have bought probably all the major brands. Hormel always stands out to me as the best. Mostly this old guy mixes it with pasta as a part of the topping or sauce.
Expensive but still the best.
Do you know how to split a hotdog fry it up put this on top with some sliced onions and some cheese since Im gluten-Do you know I split a hotdog fry it up on top with some sliced onions and some cheese since Im gluten-free I dont use a bun and its just as good as any restaurant chili dog but minimal Con
I've loved this chili for years. Great for chili dogs, chili cheese fries and chili spaghetti if you prefer no beans. Just be aware it is not even a little bit spicy, so you have to tweak it to your taste.
For years we've been making Ugly Dip (cuz it's just not that pretty to look at!) with a can of Hormel Chili NO Beans and one brick of cream cheese. Microwave for about a minute, stir, and continue until all the cheese is blended. Fabulous with corn/tortilla chips and people rave about it - thinking it was much more difficult to make than it really is!! It never lasts long...
i love the chili itself but 3 of the four cans are dented so have a shorter less safe shelf life. i think they were packed that way because they came in a half box surrounded by shrink wrap in a shipping box stuffed with air filled packing. it didnt happen in the box. walmart needs to put a "may have dents" caveat on the website at the very least because this has also been the case a number of times in regular deliveries as well. a discounted price for damaged goods would also be fair.
I expected a chili with no beans to have a lot of meat. Well, if there is meat in this chili, it must be ground up so finely that it is lost in the flavorless sauce. It's not hopeless; the flavor isn't bad, it's just lackluster. I'll just bury this in one of my chili stews which consists of a can of corn, a can of tomatoes, a can of beans (usually don't need beans) a can of refried beans and a big helping of salsa or chopped up Mezzetta Golden Greek Peperoncini, It's a satisfactory food, and I'll certainly use what I've ordered, but I won't be buying this again.
i did not like the way ,that it was delivered. You said that ,You left it at the door. But thats a lie. You left it at the mailbox. Any one could have stolen ot. im very disappointed.
I didn't get the item I order I got soup Dinty Moore Beef stew. I want the Hormel Chili,No Bean
Purchased this chili for years. It was the best. Would buy by the case and eat once or twice a week. About a year or so ago Something changed. Now I have a lot of cans that I will not eat and really would not even give away, it's that bad. It sits on the shell and finally I have resolved to just toss it out.
