Needed to remove some small stumps and shrubs and this was a great value for the money. Having it shipped to me next day was even better so I didn't need to make a trip to the store.

I was cutting up a felled Hickory Tree Trunk and it was too thick around for my 18" chainsaw and as I cut and rolled it, I corkscrewed my cut line and was forced to cut a crossnotch and use my new hatchet to chip out the wedge it made as to continue my finishing cut , and by wedging my hatchet into the groove a tapping with my hammer , the wedge broke out and my chainsaw glided right through to finish my round and that's the way it bailed me out of a pickle ! Mega THANX W/Mart for the helping hand delivery to my home and THANX to all the delivery drivers who work hard to get their customers orders to them in the most professional manner!

I've never owned my own ax, it'll take regular handling and practice to assess it fully. it needs to be sharpened. I find that the weight is just right however. it's been years since an ax was part of my regular use, Girl Scouts, and yearly camping trips. at present, it was driving past so many felled trees because of power lines, and clearing that made me feel that as an artist, perhaps I could begin to make use of this wood. so begins the process of seeing where this can go, this conversation between myself, this natural resource, and my new tool.

It is a little heavy, but I got used to it. I had a few small saplings cut down in my yard and this was so helpful in getting rid of the little stumps.

It is durable and has the added benefit of grip material on the handle to ensure the axe doesn’t slip when in use. My only qualm is that the blade became a bit rusted after being outside for less than 24 hours. That being said it should be an easy fix and the rest of the head is powder coated so it should be a non issue.

Arrived on time on date purchased. However, item appeared used. The blade was dull. You can press a baby’s finger on it and it would not cause a cut. The blade had crooked/ jagged edge.

I bought this for one of my husbands birthday gifts, I got it shipped and it's been used. I bought brand new but it had rust and dust all over it. The handles rubber is ripping off in spots as well.
