It's so versatile, I like having the option to grind up herbs, make guac, it can also handle extreme temperatures so a melty dip or fresh fruit ice cream is no big deal. It's durable. A very simple piece that has added so much value to my culinary adventures.

I am pleasantly surprised -- this Granite Molcajete Spice Grinder is absolutelysupr supreme craftmanship. It's heavy, I believe about 11 lbs definitely won't slide off the counter top while prepping. I did add flat round rubber stickers to the base of the feet to prevent scratching surfaces. Which was my own preference. But other than that the natural ganite finish adds a touch of class to the kitchen. Its stylish %26 versatile with a variety of uses. The pestle is sturdy fitting my hand snuggly %26 because of its heaviness whatever your using it for is seeminglyt effortless. No matter if I'm grinding or crushing I enjoy the aroma that wafts in the air. I'm honestly delighted I purchased this product. Believe me you WILL enjoy it as well.

Not only is the molcajete fun to use, it's a hit when serving out of. I made guacamole using 5 avocados and they all fit plus two pits to keep it fresh. It was way easier to use the molcajete than a simple fork and bowl. I served the guac directly out of it and our friends loved it. I was worried clean up would be harder but surprisingly it cleaned out easily with no trouble. The booklet came with a few recipes. I wish it had some others but I can also use the internet for that. Overall, I love this and can't wait to use it more often with some different salsas.

I received this item for free for my honest review and it took a while for me to give my review since with items time is key when it comes to truly utilizing a product that elevates cooking. With so many gadgets and gizmos in today's world its nice to have an item that is so innovative itself that it doesn't need a tech upgrade, and I've been wanting one of these for the longest time as its such a standard item in the kitchen in my culture and im so happy I was able to try one out for myself. Its versatile is helping me blend spices together for my cooking and it definitely elevates my salsas and dishes more than simple blending does as its been proven that lava rock molcajetes like these extract the oils from the items you crush. Its great for making and holding guacamole and its a great presentation bowl that helps retain heat once transferred to the table so I was able to put dinner on the table and have the meat and tortilla kept warm all dinner long. Cleaning it was easy and though heavy its good to know it wont break so easily as everything else in my kitchen. Excellent product.

Before I started cooking, I made sure to season my molcajete. I washed it with mild soap, rinsed it well then I ground up rice, salt, and garlic. I put water in it in the water held so I know it was nice and seasoned. First thing I made was a chimichurri with peppers and spices. It was so much easier, grinding them up than it is to chop everything in little pieces. The mulcajete worked great. Next thing I'm gonna do is salsa for Cinco de Mayo. I think this is gonna come in very handy. It's built well very sturdy and it looks great sitting on the counter. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Rinsing it out and using a light touch with a brush is what I'm doing. I'm not putting soap on it unless I use something very oily which I haven't yet. Can't wait for Cinco de Mayo to have a more authentic salsa and guacamole.

This molcajete has many uses ; grinding herbs to powder or old fashion salsa. I love the compact size but still very roomie. It can be used as a artisanal piece to showcase. I love it , I have a smaller molcajete but IMUSA molcajete is so much grandeur in size with a two sided pestilence.
