I had heard that some don't hold down to the counter with the clamp. I had NO PROBLEM, it stayed firm and didn't move around with use. If any problem occurs with this machine, it will be the users problem, not the unit. It is SO worth it to make pasta, and be comfortable knowing exactly what went into it. Then there's the superior taste.....totally worth the minimal effort.
I really like this little machine. It makes rolling out pasta quick and easy. I did need to adjust my recipe to make it a little stiffer so my noodles weren't too thin. The only drawback is that it can't be immersed in water. I would highly recommend this product.
I received this pasta maker as a gift from my mother and I am very pleased with it! It is very sturdy and put together well from what I can tell. The first time you use it you are supposed to run a batch of dough through it to remove the excess oil from the manufacturing process, which I did. The second batch of dough I put through made beautiful spaghetti! I watched some videos on youtube and they helped me with the technique a bit. You want to make sure your dough is not wet. It takes some doing to knead. Make sure you have flour handy to dust the pasta sheet each time before you run it through the machine. It might take a bit of practice but it is well worth it and the pasta is very delicious!
This is a great pasta cutter! It takes a little practice but works great! Would recommend to anyone for the price. Down fall is the pasta that gets left in it and can't put in water to clean - but does clean easy enough. Thumbs up!!
I love using the pasta machine. My grandchildren get a big kick out of turning the handle and seeing the dough become "macaroni". I had a machine years ago (lost it in a house fire) and finally replaced it. Being Italian means lots of pasta :) :)
We had wanted a pasta maker for a long time and finally decided on this one. A great choice we believe. Learning how long to boil this pasta.
Great product!! I am using this for clay art!!! Awesome!!!
Have only used it once, but totally successfully. It is very easy to use, and is much less expensive than any other pasta maker I've ever seen. The result was a good meal tonight.
works great with polymer clay
The Origins pasta machine does a nice job rolling out the dough as well as cutting the pasta into fettuccine and thin spaghetti. I have only made one batch of pasta so far and I was pleased with the results. I only have one negative comment - the clamp which attaches the machine to the counter top doesn't seem to go into the machine far enough. As a result the clamp falls off which then causes the machine to come loose from the counter top. This could be user error since I have only used it once. I'll have to play with it some more to see it I am doing something wrong.
