Last evening, I was intent on making Banana Bread according to the recipe on the side of the Jiffy Buttermilk Biscuit Mix package. Then I realized that I had neglected to purchase the frozen banana slices that I like to put into my morning oatmeal, and which I intended to use in the Banana Bread. Undaunted, I reached for a bag of frozen strawberries. After preparing a cup and a half of the strawberries in the food processor, I proceeded to follow the recipe substituting strawberries for bananas and nuts. The result was a rather dense, very moist strawberry treat that, with a cup of coffee, replaced my oatmeal for breakfast this morning. Two thumbs up!
Just like mom use to make .
This Jiffy Mix made the best biscuits. They were light and so delicious. My family loved them. I have also used this mix for pancakes and waffles. They are light and so good too. I buy this all the time and will continue to. The price can not be beat either.
Easy 1 ingredient- water. I dont roll it out I just wet my hands and pull some out and throw them on a pan, cookie sheet whatever. 1 box makes 6 nice sized biscuits. I use them for biscuits and gravy or other uses.
these were really good. i didn't take the time to roll out and did drop instead. box made 6 medium size. cooked well. great texture after baking. will buy again.
Everything Jiffy has is great tasting and so affordable. If you want homemade biscuits jiffy makes them. If you want pie dough, jiffy has it. You want pizza dough- you got it jiffy!! And cost is like less than half of other like products.
These biscuits are delicious and almost habit forming, so very easy to make and you only need 1/2 cup of water to make a box of biscuits.. 1 box makes about 6 biscuits. Melt about a 1/4 stick of butter and brush the tops soon as they come outta the oven DELICIOUS 😋.. only problem is they are hard to find in the store. If you find em, get em 😋 I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've been using them for probably 30 years.. and you can cook them in an air fryer too, my air fryer takes 9 minutes at 400 degrees. Don't hesitate if you find em, get a box.. As they say, “so easy even a man can make em”
Good old Jiffy - they make a pretty darned good biscuit mix. I did them like drop biscuits and they came out great. Easy to make - just go by the directions. You can't beat the price, that's for sure.
Amazing biscuits. Made 4 large biscuits. Could taste the tanginess of the butter milk. Rose nicely. For a mix they are simply amazingly yummy. Jiffy is known for its cornbread mix, ut I'm keeping their biscuit mix in the pantry from now on! But no one will ever beat my Grandma's biscuits. Making them was top secret for her, and none of her 30 grandchildren can make them anywhere as tall and tasty as hers!
This is a great product. But. It has aluminum in the leavening. With all the contrails spraying aluminum plus our covid shots full of mercury, I do not want anymore aluminum in my body. Fix this please. It is a great product otherwise.
