This waffle maker is awsome u test it to the limits and i didnt have to put any oil or butter o the plates. I even turned the temp to 5 which is the highest and it didnt burn or stick it gave me a nice perfect crisp and taste so good. I used it 10 times and still no sticking or burning and the plates are washer safe. The only thing is be careful how much you put in because it can over flow and spill out on edges and make a mess on your counter. Over all just wonderful. The maker beeps you let you know its finished and turn green. Also Krups have been around making great business for 20-50years. Watch this waffle maker on youtube to get recipe ideas. Thumbs up! :D
[Employee of walmartcanada] I love the removable plates, easy to use, easy to clean. It makes 4 big waffles at a time. I use my old recipe, good each time. I made the recipe Monte Cristo Waffles that comes in the instructions booklet...….very very good. I recommend this waffle maker. Removable plates and 4 waffles at a time!!!!!!!!!
We have had a waffle maker in the house for at least the past 25 years and the last one started to lose its nonstick coating. We ended up purchasing this Krupps German made waffle maker from Walmart Canada and it arrived within a week and the price was a third of that of the similar products on Amazon. What is amazing about this new waffle maker is the plates are removable and can go into the dishwasher making it extremely easy to clean. Like most waffle makers, the time & temperature is programmable but these waffles turn out crispy and delicious and are the best waffles I can remember ever having. Truly delighted with this purchase.
Like that the plates are removable for easy washing. Also like that it has a light and beeps when the waffles are done. The only problem is the smooth dial that can be difficult at times to turn.
Makes excellent waffles, but: 1) Needs longer power cord. 2) Power setting knob hard to see/adjust.
This waffle iron does what it's supposed to do but we bought it specifically because of the removable Dishwasher safe grid plates. Tired of scraping waffle bits and overflow out of the crevices of our old maker, this was supposed to offer the easy cleanup we were dreaming of. We make waffles just about every other Saturday morning and have had this maker for 8 months and the plates are oxidizing or something. This photo of my hands is right after I pulled them from the dishwasher to put them back into the maker for storing away.
My son has an older Krupps waffle maker which I used to have, and the old one is noticeably better. We did a side by side comparison, and the old one created lovely brown waffles in 5 minutes. This model's beeper went off after about 5 minutes, but the waffles were barely colored and soft. After another 4 minutes they had more color, but not to golden brown. Also, this model makes much thinner waffles even though they measure the same. We tried 3 different recipes. This model's beeper is 1200 watts, and the older is 1400 watts, which might explain it. I will return it.
I ordered a NEW Krups waffle maker but what I received was a greasy, used product! To top it off it has an Amazon sticker on the box thanking me for giving this product a second life!! As a Walmart Associate I will continue to use our online ordering but I will NOT be ordering from Shopping Mermaids again!
The top panel almost doesn't work, just slightly. the bottom one is also weak and at maximum mode 5 you have to do it up to three times, and then also turn the waffles over and fry the other side up to three times again. As a result, the waffles come out lightly toasted and inside are moist
Broken appliance, it was not new, was dirty and greasy, had a cracked lid, frame not flush with lid, shoddy, and totally used garbage they sent instead of a new one.
