Lodge Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread Mix, Sweet As Honey, 1-Pack, 17.4 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made this Lodge Cast Iron Sweet as Honey Cornbread and I found it to be delicious! Very easy to make, just a few ingredients that I already had in my kitchen and the result was amazing. The cornbread was sweet but not overly so, it was soft and not crumbly and best of all it was full of flavor. I will definitely be getting more because the batch I made was gone too fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't have a cast iron skillet but the package stated I could use a muffin pan. So I have a pan for mini bread sized muffins. It was the same ingredients but the time was different. The corn muffins with honey were delicious. The cam out moist and fluffy inside.

The cornbread is nice and moist and sweet enough for my tastes. It's also very crunchy on the outside. The whole family loved this cornbread and we will definitely buy it in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness the taste of this mix! When it says honey it meant it! It is very sweet so if you don’t like sweet cornbread then pass this one. It was delicious and we really enjoyed it. I didn’t grease my skillet enough and it did stick but that was a problem on my part. So take care to grease well before baking. I would buy this product for sure though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the perfect large cast iron skillet - which I have been using for 10 plus years now. Due to the repeated usage, it's indestructible and functions like a nonstick. Anytime I need a new skillet, Dutch oven etc I always go with large. This mix for cornbread it's sheer brilliance on Lodge's part. It tasted amazing. I made it in the cast iron skillet and followed the directions on the package. I did take it out a little earlier than the package stated. This is my fault, not the product. You can see the pictures where the center was not completely done - that's on me. So please follow the instructions to a t and keep it in there until the toothpick in the center comes completely clean. It tasted delicious - and was gobbled up instantly. Great to have as a side for a dinner or lunch. My kids really liked it too. Perfect flavor and texture. Make sure you store any of the uneaten cornbread in a box with a tight lid. It stayed fine in the fridge and I warmed it up for a subsequent snack.

It was really quick to throw together. The cornbread itself was perfect in my opinion. It didn't stick to the cast iron. It was fluffy and just moist enough. Sweet but not overpowering, with a hint of honey. There was also a nice thin layer of slightly crispy crust on the outside. This may become a staple in my house!

It requires only three ingredients—3 large eggs, 1/4 cup of canola oil and 1 cup of whole milk and of course a Lodge 101/4 inch pan. It does contain a bioengineered ingredient but it doesn’t say which is bioengineered. I recommend this product.

I had my neighbors over for dinner and they had 2nds and thirds of the cornbread. It is pretty sweet but not in a bad way. It was very moist and took only 20 minutes to bake. I will buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a counter top airfryer that could also be used to bake stuff. I used it in making this cornbread and it’s so good! Instead of heating up a big oven just to use a small cast iron pan. It cooked nicely just follow the instructions in the back. I would buy this again!
