Never let me down

tiffany February 7, 2026

My retired mechanic husband swears by Mobil1 for all of our vehicles. Never had any issues with it, seems to do what it needs to do because we have never had vehicle issues related to the oil. We change our oil every 3-5000 miles, and use the specified filter. The bottle pours easy and has a sight glass to see how much you have poured.

MOBIL 1 IS THE BEST!

burnell February 23, 2026

I have used Mobil 1 in all my vehicles for over 30 years, changing oil every 10,000 miles and have never had an engine problem with a single vehicle! It was recommended by a very trustworthy mechanic friend who knows engines better than anyone else I know. His advise has proven to be 100% correct.

As the record would confirm, I purchased 2 - 5 quarts of oil As the price was right. Therefore I purchased an extra for the next oil change and received free shipping which is always an added incentive. The product itself has inherent quality.

Great Price for 5qts of Mobile1 Full Synthetic

AutoMeister December 4, 2012

I have been using Mobile1 for quite sometime, and I have never had any issues with it. After each oil change I normally take a look at the used oil (as to assess if there are any abnormalities that would indicate internal damage/breakdown of the internal components of the motor), and the oil definitely remains consistent under normal operating temperature and under periods of high stress; for there is no indication of excessive wear and tear on the motor. I would highly recommend this product to anyone; especially if you have a performance vehicle.

Conventional vs Synthetic? The choice is simple!

Kenjamin May 28, 2021

Over time traditional oils degrade O rings and other rubberized or plastic components that they come in contact with. Not to mention the caustic cancer causing risks associated with these standard oils when they come in contact with you skin. And after personally experiencing some valve cover gasket and engine seals starting to seep and slowly drip oil it was suggested I switch over to a full synthetic or blend to combat this issue. I think that was the smartest thing I could've done to remedy some of the problems related to conventional oil! I now own a pickup truck and I will only use synthetic oil in it as well as any other vehicle I own throughout my life. The extra cost of synthetic far outweighs the "cost" of conventional oils. When you look at long term effects and damage caused by regular crude oil vs the synthetics with their longer time between oil changes and their durability, the choice should be a no-brainer.

Synthetic Oil

Anonymous December 10, 2016

To really judge how oil performs, I think it has to be tested over time. Most folks don't keep their cars long enough to know just how much difference there is between dino oil and synthetic. With that said, I have used synthetic oil long enough to know the benefits. I have maintained a friends vehicle since she got it new in 2001. 300,000 plus miles later, the engine still runs great. I have similar experience with a Poulan Pro riding lawn mower . . . 15 years of service and the engine is still as strong as the day I got it. Time between oil changes is extended vs. regular oil as well. I do use the Mobil 1 filters along with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. What makes it all that much better is that the price between synthetic and regular oil isn't all that much different as it has become more popular.

Good oil.

thurman October 21, 2020

This is all I use in my Honda. I had a friend that had bought a new Mercedes and there was a sticker on the engine that recommended only Mobil 1. So I did a little research. So when I got my new honda that's all she gets. I change my own oil. That way I can get a better oil.

It's Fine, I Guess. It's Oil.

John November 26, 2025

If you've ever wanted to feel like a budget-conscious Titan of Industry while lugging around a comically large jug of automotive oil, this 5-gallon behemoth is for you. Ever wonder what it's like to do bicep curls while performing basic car maintenance? Wonder no more. This thing weighs as much as my will to live every time the check-engine light flicks on. Let's break it down: The Container: Imagine a plastic cube designed by someone who has never poured a liquid before. The spout dribbles with all the controlled precision of a toddler holding a juice box. Congratulations—you will spill at least $2.17 worth of oil no matter how carefully you pour. The Oil: It's oil. It's slippery. It's brown. It lubricates things. If you're buying 5 gallons of it, chances are you either (A) own a fleet of vehicles, (B) haven't changed your oil since Obama's first term, or (C) thought this would somehow be more convenient than the normal quart bottles like a sensible human. Performance: My engine seems happy, or at least less noisy than usual. Hard to tell. Cars don't talk, and mine only communicates in warning lights and passive-aggressive squeals. Value: Is buying this much oil at once cost-effective? Yes. Will you feel like you're stocking up for the automotive apocalypse? Also yes. Final Thoughts: If you enjoy lifting weights, making a mess, and feeling like the kind of person who absolutely knows what a torque spec is (even if you don't), this 5-gallon jug of oil is your guy. Would I buy it again? …Yeah, probably. I hate myself just enough.

SHIPPING %26 DELIVERY ARE NOT THE SAME

Shannon May 17, 2026

I'm still not sure what part of "shipping" and "no after hours deliveries" Wal-Mart isn't understanding. Shipping %26 delivery are not the same! I do NOT choose the delivery option because products MUST be delivered during business hours. Why is the Shipping option being changed?! Most of the time, I'm not even getting my whole delivery!

never using Mobile One Synthetic again.

Anthony July 6, 2025

About a month after switching to Mobil 1 full synthetic, my engine started showing signs of serious moisture buildup. If you popped the oil fill cap, you'd see a thick white paste from all the condensation. Thinking it was a sensor issue, I ended up replacing the camshaft position sensor—turns out that was unnecessary. The moisture had apparently interfered with its function, but once I cleared the code, the check engine light came right back on. Long story short, I gave the car another oil change and ditched the Mobil 1 for a different brand. So far, no moisture issues and no check engine light. I've since heard mixed things about Mobil 1—some say it's overpriced and overrated. Maybe I just got stuck with a bad batch, or maybe there's something to the hype. Either way, lesson learned.
