Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 Digital Charcoal Grill and Smoker Combo

great smoker. it does use quite a bit of charcoal, but its so easy to use and puts out some fantastic bbq. wings, pulled pork, brisket, smoked mac n cheese. these all came out great. I would recommend this to anyone looking to start smoking or tired of tending to a stick burner.

Love this grill/griddle. Like no grill before it, this Masterbuilt has a parking spot in my garage. We were looking at buying a Blackstone and new charcoal grill before we found this. This grill gives you so many options of HOW to cook things you'll find it almost overwhelming at times. Do I cook it hibachi style on the griddle or slow smoke OR do I reverse sear at 700degrees. The options are almost limitless. Wife loves it almost more than I do now that I'm cooking dinner 80% of the time. If you're in the market for a new grill don't hesitate to jump at the opportunity to pick up the Gravity Series 800. We absolutely love this one. We've only had for about a month and a half so can't really comment yet as to the long-term durability, but will say everything seems very well built and very sturdy. Happy grilling!

So convenient to use! You get the best of a pellet grill while still maintaining that charcoal flavor. It doesn't feel like cheating, with having basically an outdoor oven like those other brands...this gravity series makes it feels like you're still actually grilling. This has been validated by my needing to take a shower after every BBQ since I always come in the house smelling like charcoal...as if I had an old school Weber grill. One issue was the bubble wrap that stuck to the griddle insert in the box. It couldn't be scraped off and wasn't safe to start seasoning. However, Masterbuilt quickly sent me a replacement griddle as soon as I sent phots and alerted them about the problem. Excellent customer service! Tumbleweeds have worked out great as my charcoal starter.

Purchased this about a month ago to use primarily as a smoker. It works perfectly and is almost too easy to use. Fill the chute, ignite, set temp and time and sit back and wait. I have smoked a turkey breast, a whole chicken, and some baby back ribs to perfection.

I bought this grill for an early Christmas present to myself. I love the fact I can heat this grill up in 12 minutes and slow smoke at the same time. I also bought this because it has no moving parts to break other than the fan. My friends have pellet smokers and constantly have problems with the augur getting clogged. I also had a master-built electric smoker and it stood the test of time.

After a lot of online research, watching video reviews and reading forum posts on this model, and having wanted to go back to charcoal as a fuel source for awhile, when a critical part broke in my 21 year old gas grill and I couldn't replace the part, it was time, and I chose this one. I had been wanting to get into the smoking game, but couldn't really justify the space on my deck for yet another cooking apparatus, so this being a combo grill and smoker that runs on lump charcoal really sold me. Having used this 1050 now a couple of times, it did not disappoint on either cook, and has completely met my expectations. It holds the temperature much more evenly than I originally thought it would, too. I had no issues installing and configuring the app, updating the 1050's firmware upon initial connection to the grill went smoothly, and using the app during a cook went just fine as well - no hiccups to report. The hopper is easy to manage, both loading and cleaning, and I love how easily it is to mix in chunks of various woods with the lump charcoal. It is a heavy unit, but maneuvers easily enough on the deck. Delivery was made by Estes due to the size and weight, but went very smoothly overall, in that my order just "showed up" on the upper part of my driveway one morning with no interaction required from me other than to receive the delivery notification. Assembly does take 2 people at various steps, but I did most (~85%) of the assembly myself and that all went very smoothly as well. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and the experience in using it so far!

I have owned most every type of grill on the market and typically always went back to my kettle style charcoal grill. The Gravity Series 800 has now changed that and can do it all! Everything I cook on here is consistently juicy and flavorful to the point where I think you'd have to try to overcook something. I use less charcoal than a kettle style grill and it lights in about half of the time. The griddle feature is the absolute icing on the cake and absolutely speaks for itself. Set up was easy and straight forward and done with minimal tools. From 16 hour briskets to some quick smash burgers this thing has you covered!

After a month or so i still love this thing. I left the weber smokefire ex6 for this and it has put out much better food than pellets could. It feels pretty well built. It cooks great and smokes a ton, which was my biggest reason for purchasing it. There is a ton of cooking space. Everything comes apart nice and easy to clean as well. The controller isnt bad at all, mine runs within 15-20 degrees below of what its set at but its consistent across the board so thats nice. Things i think it needs is a bigger hopper, better seals on the hopper door and ash tray door, and the app for your phone rarely works if ever. I think for the 1050 it could really benefit from maybe another 6"-12" taller hopper or make the hopper an inch or 2 wider on the insode diameters for enough fuel for 12+ hour smokes. The seals could use like a rope style gasket instead of what they have, the hopper lid does let out a little smoke, doesnt affect your end results at all though. The app does not work for me, as ive tried using it multiple times. That definitely is not a deal breaker at all.

Grill arrived and did not work after I put it together, so no 5 stars. However the troubleshooting procedure was done well enough to get the right part from Masterbuilt which they shipped out almost fast. Once working, it is wonderful, awesome and a whole bunch of really really nice all rolled into one. I can cook with charcoal and wood chips/chunks in not much time at all or I can smoke for hours and hours, I love it, and it works great!

I bought the 1050 about two months ago. Only missed two weekend cooks. My downsides are, filled stocked with fuel, only lasts about 5 hours. Will try different hardwood brand. Second, tried an 11 lbp whole chicken on the rotisserie. After about a half hour, the rotisserie failed. I tried the rotisserie again after dinner with nothing on it. It's dead Jim. I'm a little disappointed. Average rating based on rotisserie.
