I like it HOTTER than most people. Sometimes I even spice up my fruit (other than just avocado) with a tajin sauce. Not to say that I always want my mouth burning but, a nice kick to many foods is a better choice for wording and concept. In the second picture is my spice grinder (I love this grinder set, not yet available on Walmart) which is full of a mix that do. The previous mix used McCormick crushed red peppers. It was a bit bland for my preference. But, that all changed with this Thai Style Chili Pepper crushed. My mix is kinda equal; Garlic (granulated), Parsely (flakes), Onions (dried minced), and this. The amount that you can see missing is the amount of one mix in the grinder that will last for several months (2-3). Finally I have a great mix of flavors with the right amount of heat from these Thai Chili Peppers. FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS, and good for you, me I mean. I'm sold on some McCormick spices, and have spares so I'm not ever without. … Nuff Sayd
McCormick Thai chili pepper flakes is delicious. It's not too hot unless you get too many in your dish. They have a nice flavor that they add to any dish. It's almost addicting how good the flavor is and what it adds to anything you put it in or on. Once you try it you'll keep getting it. I absolutely love it!!
Wonderful thai chili pepper! Small bottle but very strong, don't need alot! Season a little at a time to your taste. Very good love it in stir fries and soups. Use it on everything you want thai heat. Remember to taste as you go! Has a great taste with a kick in the butt heat!
I love to make beef sesame bowls. I used to use regular crushed red pepper in them but when I got these, I knew I had to try it instead. It literally upped the flavor so much. Now I always use this.
I just bought this for a recipe but now I'm putting it in everything! This adds such a nice kick to everything. And I love that McCormick spices are gluten free with no cross contamination!
I've now had the chance to try out the Thai-Style Chili Pepper in several meals, and I have to say, I'm enjoying it. It gives dishes a kick that regular pepper doesn't quite get, and it was a more subtle flavor than the crushed red chili I usually use. I used it in rubs, during cooking, and even as part of a salad dressing. It went well with a variety of different cuisines, and I will definitely repurchase it when I am finished.
I received this jar of Thai Style Chili Pepper from McCormick in exchange for an honest review. I'm not someone who can handle a lot of heat, so I was unsure if this would be something that would work well in my cooking. I tried it in a stir fry with chicken breast and udon noodles and was pleasantly surprised. It imparted an earthy, slightly smoky flavor to the dish, not just pure heat like some other chili peppers I've used in the past do. It's only moderately hot, so it's easy to control the heat level. I have only tried this in a stir fry dish as well as fried rice, and it worked great in both.
Thai style chili pepper is an absolutely delicious way to add a sweet touch of heat to many soups, rice dishes, Pizza, noodles, Fried Rice and lo mein. This has a more distinct flavor than plain crushed red pepper, and is not just hot, it actually has sweet heat that enhances the flavor of the dish. I highly recommend mccormick crushed thia chili pepper flakes. These are great to add to many dishes.
The heat is assertive but not overwhelming—more of a slow-building warmth that lingers just enough to make each bite memorable. What I loved most was the balance: it brings that classic Thai chili kick without overpowering the dish or masking other flavors.
on the fence with this one..seems not as hot as regular pepper flakes and kinda has a different flavor but not enough to just get regular pepper flakes and save
