Mostly garlic and paprika. What I had before was mostly dried vegetables and herbs and was delicious in egg salad, tuna salad and chicken salad.
this seasoning is a burst of flavor without being over powering. i usually use season salt, garlic, pepper, and stake seasoning. with McCormick grill mates stakhouse onion burger with garlic i do not need to use any other seasoning and this will save a lot of money on having to buying several separate products. it smells good in the jar but when you start cooking with it the smell is great and makes the whole house smell like a stake house. my husband and i are avid meat eaters and will be using this often. the only problem i see is that the holes in the shaker lid are a little to large so be careful when shaking on the seasoning. so what are you waiting for get McCormic grill mates and start shaking, and enjoy a burst of flavor without all the extra seasonings.
Had hamburgers today made with this seasoning. It was very tasty. Had a very good amount of onion and garlic flavor. Will continue to use this product and let other people know how good it is!
They changd my favorite spice label. This is their old farlic and onion. We use this on most meats, chicken, and vegetables. It makes everything taste better. I recommend using it on baked fries. Yummy!
we love this seasoning. we went so long without it not knowing they changed the name from onion burger to garden vegetable However, I really wish I could find it in a bulk container, I only can find a regular vegetable seasoning with different ingredients.
I know that it took me a while to write this review but I had to do some comparing. I have two, one year old bottles of McCormick Grill Mates Steakhouse Onion Burger with one that's almost empty and so this gave me the opportunity to try the old and the new side by side. They both taste great and the only difference between the two was the year old one had faded a bit in color compared to the new one, and yes I do store my spices in a dark cupboard. So if you like onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper you can't go wrong with this choice. My mother used McCormick spices for as long as I can remember and I continue to use them to this day. McCormick has come a long way from the basics, now they have blends and rubs and every one that I've tried I've enjoyed. So go and experiment with your hamburgers and steak and enjoy the grill and the weather, for those that pan fry when the weathers not behaving, fry away. So fire up the grill and call your friends and family and neighbors over and treat them with the Steakhouse Onion Burger and feed the hungry.
I have used Grill mates before and think this an good improvement an all ready excellent brand of seasonings. I have used it in burgers, on steaks, on pork chops, on salads and even baked potatoes. Haven't been disappoint yet. Still have half a bottle to go. I think I might do a sirloin tip roast in near future cooked for 12 hours in a crock pot .
I have used McCormick spices and seasonings for many, many years and they have never disappointed me. Their new McCormick Grill Mates Steakhouse Onion Burger with Garlic Seasoning doesn't disappoint either. I sprinkled it on the shaped patties that I had formed and grilled the burgers to my own doneness preference and added cheese. I was surprised at how juicy and flavorful the burgers were. The seasoning added great flavors, bringing out the best in the organic ground beef that I bought. I will continue to use McCormick's Grill Mates Steakhouse Onion Burger with Garlic Seasoning on any of the ground meats I use. Very good and I highly recommend it!
I use McCormick seasonings all the time. My guys like hamburgers and meatloaf, but I think it always needs something more and I have tried different ways to kick it up a notch. So I Ordered this thinking woohoo! Yes it is good, I have used it in the hamburgers and am definitely Trying it in a meatloaf soon. Just thought. I bet these will be good meatballs for football season. I Just think this a very good product, as I said I use McCormick seasonings for a lot of cooking. So spark up those beef recipes and sprinkle this in or on them. I'm a purist with Steaks, but you never know.
The McCormick Grill Mates Steakhouse Onion Burger with Garlic Seasoning is a pretty nice seasoning. The container is 3.12 ounces and comes in the classic McCormick bottle. The ingredients are clearly labeled and are: Salt, Garlic, Onion, Black Pepper, Paprika, Yeast Extract, and Green Onion. The label directs you to use the seasoning on burgers but it can also be used for Steaks, Potatoes, and Vegetables. The directions say to use 1 tbsp per 1lb of meat then grill or broil. I think that less is more so I used just a few pinches and the flavor was fine. I think it would be up to your individual taste for what you want to use.
