McCormick Hibachi Chicken & Rice Seasoning Mix, 1.0 oz Packet

I love hibachi but it pretty expensive, so I normally only have it on my birthday. Let's just say my house will be having hibachi a lot more than 1 x a year. This seasoning mix is fantastic and so easy to make. My son asked if we could have it again 2 days later (as soon as leftovers were gone lol) and he's a picky eater. I'd say that's a win! I highly recommend!

You mix this seasoning with water and soy sauce, and it makes a slightly thick sauce that has sesame seeds floating in it. We paired this with a bag of frozen stir fry vegetables, fresh mushrooms, and grilled chicken. The sauce thickened a bit when simmered with the cooked chicken and veggies. We served the mixture over jasmine rice. I don't have a picture because it disappeared so quickly! You could really taste the zing from the ginger. I also added sesame oil and a sprinkle of Japanese seasoning with bits of seaweed. It passed the test of my discriminating daughter's palate, so I'd definitely buy it again. This McCormick Hibachi Chicken & Rice meal checked all the boxes! It was a tasty, easy qeeknight meal that everyone loved. It was fast and easy for anyone to make-no skill required! Easily cusomized-we had eaten rice the night before, so I served it over pasta instead, any used the vegetables I had on hand. I would try it again with other combinations for sure. And best of all it was gluten free, meaning I didn't have to make myself a separate meal from what my family was enjoying for once. Thanks McCormick!

This is soooo good. I purchased this previously and like another commenter said, it is EXTREMELY Salty when following the directions on the pack (and I even used low sodium soy sauce). The first time I followed the directions x2 because I used two packets. Again it was soooo salty but I paired it with a cauliflower/brown rice mix and veggies so it kind of balanced out. My second time, I prepared 3 packets with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and increased the water to 2 cups of water total instead of the 1 1/2 cups (1/2 cup recommended for each pack). It came out great!! Even my picky ramen noodle eating pre teens loved it! Will definitely run it back for a weekly meal!

When following the directions this mix is absolutely phenomenal! I Was a little hesitant as i had high expectations, My family loves hibachi food and we try to eat at one monthly. My overthinking almost made me believe that it would be difficult to prepare and i would mess up, realistically 10-15 min of prep time with meat and veggies. The flavor was well balanced, i did add a little sugar because i think i used too much soy but overall perfect!

I tried this seasoning mix for a quick dinner, and it was surprisingly flavorful and easy to use. It gave my chicken and veggies a nice savory, slightly sweet hibachi taste. It's definitely a convenient meal, just add chicken, rice, and veggies. Overall, it's a solid, affordable shortcut for a tasty at-home stir-fry.

Good stuff! A little salty but overall a quick, easy weeknight dinner for my husband and son. I used beef instead of chicken and it was delicious. I git a couple bites, before they inhaled it. Unfortunately, hubby and son dug in before I got a picture.

I was excited trying this, but it was really bland. It had a charcoal flavor but nothing else I could really taste. I used a bag of stir fry veggies, brocolli florets and fresh bell peppers. I'll have leftovers so we'll see if it gets more flavor sitting overnight. Right now, I dont think I will buy this again.

I was able to try this for free. I made it with chicken, carrots and broccoli. I really wanted to like this but it doesn't taste like "Hibachi" to me. It's flavor was okay, but I couldn't continue eating at least half the meal. I just felt turned away from eating more.
