McCormick Almond Flavoring has a delicious, authentic almond taste that adds a nice touch to baked goods and desserts. Just a small amount gives recipes a wonderful aroma and flavor without being overpowering. It's a great staple to keep in the kitchen, especially for cookies, cakes, and frostings. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Compared with other almond extracts I've tried, the flavor is smooth, sweet, and has a nice almond taste without being too strong. I especially like how easy it is to use in cookies, cakes, and other desserts. One of the biggest benefits is that you only need a small amount to add a lot of flavor, so the bottle lasts a long time. It's also convenient to keep in the kitchen for everyday baking.I would definitely buy this product again, and I would recommend it to my friends and family, especially anyone who enjoys baking and wants to add a delicious almond flavor to their desserts.
I love to bake and be creative when I do it. As a kid my mom would add lemon extract to our pancakes. As a mom I added this ALMOND extract to our 🧇 waffles this past weekend and it added that little something extra. The nutty almond flavor mixed with the butter and the pure maple syrup was a true crowd-pleaser!!!!
I made homemade ice cream and used McCormick almond extract instead of vanilla added a couple of chopped almonds. I recommend this for cakes as well. I like the almond flavor I use often almond meal instead of flour. Almond ice cream don't knock it if you haven't tried it. It's bittersweet.
Great to have on hand for baking and trying new recipes! It adds a nice flavor and is easy to use. Fun fact: I also added a splash to lemonade, and it was such a fun little flavor twist! Great to have around when experimenting with different recipes and drinks.
I received this McCormick almond extract as a free sample to try out, and I'm very pleased with it. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical since it's an imitation extract, but the flavor turned out surprisingly natural, smooth, and without any harsh chemical aftertaste. I only added a few drops to some baked goods and desserts, and it delivered that classic, rich marzipan aroma. A little really goes a long way, so even this small bottle will last a while. I'll definitely be buying it myself from now on!
I recently used McCormick® Imitation Almond Extract to make a batch of butter cookies, and while the results were decent, I found myself wishing I'd reached for the real thing instead. I had high hopes going in — almond extract is such a small addition, but it usually makes a big difference in baked goods, adding that warm, slightly sweet, nutty depth that makes butter cookies taste bakery-level quality. Unfortunately, the flavor this extract delivered was average. The cookies came out tasting fairly bland, lacking the rich, almond aroma and taste I was expecting. I could tell that using an imitation extract rather than a pure almond extract made a noticeable difference — the flavor just didn't have the same depth. It was there, but only faintly, more like an afterthought than a role in the cookie. The extract performed consistently and did what it was supposed to do in terms of basic functionality — it blended easily into the dough, didn't affect the texture of the cookies, and didn't leave any strange or artificial aftertaste. For my butter cookies, though, where almond flavor was meant to be primary, I'd opt for pure almond extract next time to get that richer, more authentic taste. For convenience, it's a serviceable product — just not a standout. I give this product a 4-Star Rating.
I love almond extract for just about anything from cookies to drink flavoring etc. I was excited to try this as we're heading into baking season but sadly I was a little let down. The flavor of the extract was fine but it seemed to take a good amount more of product than other extracts in the past. Overall I'll keep using this bottle but it won't be my new go to.
(Free product for a review) I used the almond extract to make pancakes. I implemented it to make homemade pancakes. The scent of the extract was strong but not excessive as I opened the bottle. I did not have to use much to get the flavor to come through. The flavor does not taste artificial and is smooth.
Overall i give this product 4 stars. I tried the almond extract in cookies, banana loaf and I also tried it in creamer for coffee. I enjoyed it in the baked goods and could find myself reaching for it again to bake with. The scent was stronger than i expected, but still very nice product.
