I love rice! I typically eat long-grain and wide rice BUT I love white rice too instead of potatoes. Rice soaks up savory sauces and balances the flavors of a complex meal. It's also inexpensive…and in a world where food prices are soaring, it's a perfect side dish.

None of these items are new to me. I've had these things for years. I don't like change. Everything about this order from start to deliver was perfect!

For years, I would only use "regular rice" but, at 81 years old, I decided to finally try Minute Rice. I was happily surprized to find it pretty close to regular rice .....not quite as firm, but ready in just a few minutes. We would have eaten a lot more rice over the years if I hadn't been so stubborn.... LOL

This is either hit or miss for me sometimes I feel like it tastes really great other times I don't feel like I boil it with the right ratio of water even though I followed the instructions. Sometimes this is good in a pinch that would have around.

Started using this rice after I kept burning regular rice - a lot. Really got tired of scrubbing the bottom of those burnt stainless steel pans - (won't use those black coated ones that flake bits into food). I like that I can't burn this rice. It's simple to prepare, stovetop or in the microwave, and that it takes a lot less time too. But with all this convenience, traded off flavor (use extra seasoning) and the texture is different, not bad, just different. I use it as a side to many meats - chicken, chops, meatloaf, fish, mixed in ground beef to make porcupine meatballs, etc. Maybe someday I'll try regular rice again, but for now, I'm enjoying the quick, consistent ease of preparation.

I like the convience of being able to fix a quick meal - like when tired, ill, etc. It doesn't taste like "real" uncooked rice but with added ingredients, the taste is fine. Keep it on hand, esp., in winter when storms can knock out power and some hot water and this makes a decent filler meal in such circumstances. Being dehydrated, it keeps well also.

Seem's To Be A Good Food Staple, However There Are Some Issue's With Canning...; It Does Go Foul In The Fridge And Could Not Can The Cooked Rice.. Generally Edible And Cook's Well...

This rice came complete with dead bugs. I always transfer rice to an airtight container when it's delivered. I didn't notice all the dead bugs immediately. Last night, I made a casserole with rice in it and discovered it. Had to throw dinner and the expensive rice away since I'd tossed the manufacturer's box away already.
