This is the best herbal supplement I've ever taken for an upset stomach. It works amazingly well for stomach discomfort that is due to bad gas and bloating, as well indigestion. I'm not sure why it calms the stomach so well but it does. I take it in this capsule form and sometimes tea form. If I need it to work fast for an upset stomach, I will open the capsule and put it in my water or juice to consume or make tea with it. This is a staple in my medicine cabinet. I haven't experienced any issues with it.

I have used this brand of marshmallow root for the last 5 years. I have something called interstitial cystitis. Marshmallow root coats my bladder and helps heal it from the ic. I recommend this highly. I would give it 10 Stars if I could.
