My house is completely covered with no WiFi drops. This is my second Orbi Mesh Network and both are excellent. I just replaced my old mesh network this year. The WiFi 7 is fast.
Really happy with this product. My service provider's router has a strong signal throughout my house, but that ends when multiple devices are connected.
I bought this to replace my nearly 10 year old Orbi RBR10, & dreaded going through another intitial setup for our home network, which includes around 15 devices. I imagined spending hours resolving security glitches to get all our devices on the Allowed list. I was pleasantly surprised that after giving the new network the same name & password as the old one, the setup was seamless. A few devices had to be re-authorized, but it only took a few minutes with the router software. It also helped that this router uses the same software so I didn't have to familiarize myself with a new interface.
Replaced my Nighthawk RAX54S WiFi 6 router and AC750 extenders. I was getting very frequent and annoying lost connections. Seems like the mesh system was not working properly. Netgear did say they were no longer supporting the extenders and the router was probably near the end of its life as well. I installed the Omni 370 with two satellites and it is working much better. No more lost connections and the setup was very smooth. Only wish the router had more Ethernet ports.
It's been a week sense I installed my Obri 370 2 Satellite System. everything seems to be working fine. I had to reinstall my wireless printer after the installation. It appeared that it was not communicating with my laptop, One, of our TV's has had a few issues with speed and buffers quite a bit. Another one, that we put one of the two satellites under has been buffering also, both are LG's. Our Sony TV and another LG that has an Amazon Firestick are working Great. Time will tell.
I got this because I was having speed and connection problems with my old router. I'm still having problems, but the problems have changed. I had to call support to change the internal settings on the router to get it to work reliably. They were very helpful and did an excellent job. I had to wire one of the satellites to my computer to reliably connect Diablo. When it's connected it works great. Every so often the Lan connection icon disappears and either the wireless icon appears, and it won't connect, or the no internet icon appears. To get the Lan icon back requires a restart. I had thought the connection problems were with my ISP, now I'm not so sure. Just did it again while I was typing this. Very annoying.
The system was hard to set up and when I called support they said support was not included. I finally stumbled through the set up after turning off some of the standard data settings. Later I found that the system was constantly dropping my printers. I'd reset the system and they'd come back online for a while then drop off again. I solved that problem by turning off the VPN and the Armor. I still have my old Orbi and may fall back to that. The app also shows inconsistent lists devices online and satellites connected.
The setup of the system is relatively easy except for the issue of placement of your satellites, This is an issue. After getting everything set up and placed in locations that everything connected the system functions ok. I still have dead spots and slow areas. I have to reboot my system routinely to get it to run at a decent speed. I would not reccomend this product. I had better function using only a Nighthawk router, seriously thought the satellites would improve things not actually make it worse.
My internet seems faster, though, a speed test from before and after installing the Orbi is not much different. Maybe I need to try the satellites in different places. All in all, good, but I gave it 2 stars because now we can't print in our house wirelessly. I called Netgear and spoke to someone and he tried to troubleshoot it, but could not help and then said I needed to call HP because it's a printer issue. The printer is connected to the same network with good connectivity per the printer and still can't get it to print. Very frustrating.
how do I return?
