ARRIS Surfboard DOCSIS 3.1 Multi-Gigabit Cable Modem with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet Port, Approved for Cox, Xfinity, Spectrum and Others, Wireless Technology - New Condition

I ordered this product to complement my Astound/RCN internet service. I pay for 1GBPS and after installing this the TP-Link Archer AXE7800 router, my speed tests are actually surpassing what I pay for. I will continue to monitor the performance for the next few weeks, but I am extremely satisfied right off the bat! It also has a very small foot print.

Recently replaced our 3-4 year old Motorola unit. This Arris Surfboard is so much better already I wish I had made the change sooner. It is approved for use with Charter/Spectrum in Ohio and was easy to activate once we got a Spectrum rep on the phone. Installation was a breeze and now we're getting the Mbps that we paid for. Tons of devices and products connected to WiFi and no slow down at all even during peak times. Would recommend this to gamers and families with lots of devices alike.

Quick, easy setup... installed firmware and rebooted quickly. It's also very small, which is awesome, you can put it anywhere. Looks bigger in the photo, but I loved, and was pleasantly surprised by, the tiny size. Working great so far, easily visible status light - very happy with purchase.

No directions on it, so had to look up which port to use on it, but seems to work well. It is just a modem though, no router, but that is all I needed for now. Decently fast enough to run both a video and a game on regular settings. I do have it on a fan so not sure on heating as I do that with all my modems. Thanks again, very compact and fits easily in my area for net.

overall the item arrived pretty quickly, the only question remains, that will be a long term one, is I have read this modem is said to have heating issues which if true may lead to a short life span, if this is true then the value of this product is irrelevant and it should not even be sold without further testing. Great Arris product, but it's just too bad that it's on Midco's approved modem list, but then after you get it connected up you don't get the speeds you pay for. Basically Midco forces you to use their supplied “lease” modem to get the speeds that you pay for. Midco says that it's the modem, after talking with several people with Arris, they informed me that Midco has the ability and equipment to provision the modem correctly and that Midco is the only ISP that they(Arris) constantly hear complaints about. So you either get to pay for a lease modem to get your paid for speeds or spend months on the phone with Midco and having dozens of techs stopping by, digging up your yard just to bury new cable (instead of burying fiber) and still not getting the speeds that you pay for…

Could not get connected to wifi router. 877 customer service number. Would connect for 5 seconds and hang up. There is noncustomer service. I had it validated with cable ISP and would work hard wired to computer. Never connected to WiFi when hard wired in. No customer support = worthless junk. Going back to store.

I don't know how good it is or is not I never received it, all I got was a photo of my door with no package, my advice get it from a store that won't charge you for a mystery package. Walmart SUCKS

speeds not as advertised. doesn't work with docsis 3.1 next gen as stated directly on teh box. fail. now I will not have internet because I have to replace for a real man's modem.

It isn't what I needed. It needs a router. I was not aware of that. I would like to return for a full refund
