They work good with helping to fall asleep. They have a stinky cheeses smell so swallow them quickly.

Using this for some time to help me fall asleep when I'm feeling a bit wired.

This a very good product, a natural way to relax . My husband has used valerian to help with stress , sleep. We really like the Now brand.

It's the best valerian root supplement that I've been able to find. Not only is it vegan, but it's actually the root and it seems truly pure. You can tell by the smell! Other valerian products don't have the plant based gel caps and/or they use stems leaves or even mix in with grass. This is the best.

I know valerian root can have a strong, pungent smell, but this one is unbearable. I can only describe it as it smells like poop. I held my breath and took it for several days, approximately 30 minutes before bed. The first night it did seem to help me relax and doze off easier, but it had no effect on subsequent nights. For me, the horrible smell and lack of a consistent effect make this not worth using.

Certainly not as potent as other brands with a thousand units per pill. Valarian root is the base from which Valium/Diazepam is composed of. I usually take seven a nights or I will toss and turn with too much pain. This helps bridge the transition to sleep. Sleep is important to heal the body. This is the best price for bang and I gave it two stars as this product cuts corners a bit in extraction.
