We bought this to use as an adjunct to our travel trailer. We use this inside or outside on the picnic table as long as you have electricity you can save your propane for dry camping. You need special pans to use it. it heats up quickly and is cool within a minute and can be packed away.
We have been using this since our home was flooded out, and it works great. Easy to use straight out of the box. The non stick pan cleaned up easily and is the right size when cooking for two. This little induction stove has convinced us to install a full size once our home is rebuilt.
Rounded shape fits well in my small kitchen. Controls easy to use, especially like choosing temps in 10-degree increments. Heats up quickly, fits pans between 3" and 12," came with an excellent 10" ceramic nonstick skillet. Versatile timer means no more scorched pans.
I've been using this for about a week and love it. I've never used induction before and most of my pans aren't magnetic. It came with a frying pan (a life saver for the moment). I will use my non-magnetic pans anyway. It's an easy fix for all of you newbies like me. Just purchase a diffuser (or two) which is a stainless steel flat round with a handle you place on the burner first and then place your pan on. Induction works on magnetics and has to be used with magnetic pans (use a magnet and if it sticks to your pan you're good to go, if not, use a diffuser). I just ditched an old range and went with the NuWave Pic Flex and a larger one instead of buying a new stove. I can't believe what I've been missing...perfect eggs, a fabulously delicious burger, hot water for my pour over coffee in less than 3 minutes. My pan for coffee water only has a 3" bottom and can easily and safely be used on the NuWave with no heat coming up on the handle. I love that it has 3 different watt settings. I'm expecting my electric bill will go down a little. I was concerned that, with my bad eyes I would have trouble seeing which button was which, but they are larger than what you would imagine from the picture. They are very easy to use. I thought programing might be difficult, but it's very simple and not frustrating. I'm so glad I bought a NuWave instead of a traditional hot plate. Their reviews scared me so I threw out some extra money for this. I feel much safer using the NuWave. It cooks evenly and I love that you have complete control of the temperature. I am one happy camper and would DEFINITELY recommend the NuWave.
Research what you are buying. I knew certain pans work on it and so I bought a diffuser plate to use with the other pans so they will cook on it.
Should have bought the NewWave along time ago instead of the other burners. This out eats them all 100%.
I bought this product on the recommendation of friends who have used induction cooking. Does everything it says it will do.
Wanted what my mom had but smaller, and this also came with its own pan. Perfect.
I have been researching these for awhile and finally took the plunge with this one. BEST decision I made! It's lightweight, cooks FAST, even on the low 600 watt setting. Very easy to use and the pan that was included was very useful. I already had 2 sauce pans with stainless steel bottoms that would work, but not a fry pan. So with it's non stick feature, the pan and the cooktop are winners!
This item is amazing. works great with even my stainless steel fry pans.
