We opened the jar while eating Chinese food, and it was delicious stirred into rice, as a dip for egg rolls, and more. I can't wait to try it with other foods!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this organic Tonkatsu sauce from Ocean's Halo. The flavor profile is rich and bold, almost reminding me of a unique barbecue style sauce. I tried it plain first, so I could get a feel for the taste, and I found that a little goes a long way. Because it's so flavorful, you don't need much to enhance a dish, but I did add it to some vegetable fried rice versus a protein. You may need more to get that flavor packed in a protein dish. I plan on using it again for different things, but would recommend giving it a try.

We had never had tonkatsu sauce before. Maybe it is supposed to taste salty and sour but we didn't like it. It is not hot and spicy, just very salty and sour.

Purchased this to accompany some katsu I'm making. I take the plastic wrap off, it's sticky with sauce. I keep opening and go to twist the cap off, it's sticking shut with sauce. Once I open it, the top pops open, and the black mold is on the inside edges of the cap.

I tried it because of the positive reviews and the Kikkoman brand (my usual) was not available. Sniff test was ok, but it tastes like how rotten seafood smells. Absolutely disgusting! No one in my household enjoyed this AT ALL. Wasted a perfectly good katsu dinner. Don't ruin yours.
