I my Oklahona Joe Smoker three weeks ago, and it works. It holds temp. the way it should and smokes the way it shoukd. I've smoked beer can chicken, baby back ribs , brisket , pork tender loin and a couple tubes of bologna. All have that perfect smoke ring and depth I'm looking for. Wish my old one I replaced this one with would have played out sooner. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to smoke neat right at home.
I have Smoked and BBQed on this and it does both GREAT ! Ribs are everyone's favorite so far the smoke you can get out if this is awesome .. Can you get a better one ??? Well yes you can BUT for the cost of this unit why pay more ?
I bought this a couple of months ago for my husband and he loves it and the food is fantastic cooked on it. The meet can be seared and then smoked. And it stays so moist! The best barbeque pit we have ever had!
Finally a Smoker that is going to last. I bought this smoker about a month and a half ago. Everything on this smoker is built heavy duty, from the wheels to the grates. It is easy to keep the temperature regulated. You can grill or smoke. Easy to clean out. I would recommend to anyone.
Works Great, Built to Last like a Tank. Best Griller for the money
Nicely built with heavy gauge steel and wide doors. Can pack 12 beer can chickens in there with no problem and still have room for ribs. I only offset smoke in this unit, and with the added help of high temp silicone during assembly this baby is air tight and holds temps real well. I built a burner box basket to aid in fire box air flow and to contain the charcoal better. I also made heat baffles for the cooking area which gives me excellent control of the cooking temps across the whole cooking surface. Most of these modifications can be found on YouTube and made with stuff you probably have around the garage and house. I would have no problem telling you to pick the Ok Joe Longhorn smoker as it's done me right. Good luck, enjoy, and KEEP ON BBQ'in
I bought this smoker a couple of months ago and have enjoyed it immensely. I am able to maintain a constant temperature of 225° for at least eight hours with one large bag of charcoal and smoking chunks
This grill is heavy duty, easy to assemble, and very easy to operate! This is my first offset smoker, though I have been smoking meat for years, this is by far the easiest to operate and maintain that I have had!
This is the second Oklahoma Joe product I've purchased. I bought this primarily to be a smoker, but it works well as a grill too. My only issue so far is that the main lid is a little bent and therefore doesn't fit very tightly. I'm going to get a gasket seal and a couple clamps and see if that helps. If not, I might have to try and flatten it out. Had a minor issue with shipping, but customer service took care of it pretty quickly, especially considering it was a holiday week.
My husband put together grill right after it was delivered. As he was assembling it the name plate fell off and the smoke stack is bent to the right. After it was complete the hood doesnt even close evenly leaving a gap. Ive contacted seller twice and have still yet to hear anything.
