It's actually great it work well and the way it's made it slides under the blood pressure cuff really easy would buy it again for sure
I'm actually a nurse so when I got the opportunity to try this out I jumped at it. Most of my stethoscopes are are bigger and heavier but this one is smaller and lighter. I would use this mainly in my office seeing patients and doing vitals. It's got a good sound to it, easy on the ears and nice sleek feature. I would definitely recommend it.
I really like the Paramed Stethoscope – Classic Single Head Cardiology for Medical and Clinical Use by Paramed – Suitable for Nurse Men, Women, Pediatric Infant – 22 inch. I always like to collect medial equipment for around the home use. To help catch and prevent little medical issues. This stethoscope works well for me. It's comfortable to wear. It's easy to handle. The ear pieces are easy to wear as well. I can hear clearly heart and lung sounds with this stethoscope. This stethoscope makes a nice addition to my home medical supplies. This stethoscope comes with an extra set of ear pieces and an extra membrane. Witch means it should last for years of service. The cleaning of the membrane is very easy. Just use 70% alcohol, prep pad or soap and water in between each use.
This thing is very well made (I expect it will at least last through nursing school). Once I figured out you rotate the head to be able to turn it on (don't laugh, I'm learning), I never struggled to hear again. Everything is loud and clear. Other reviews said it rivals their littmann, and while I can't make that comparison, I am not disappointed.
Even with no medical experience, I found this easy to use. I just remembered where my physician would place the 'head' to listen to a heartbeat. My sister and I practiced using this stethoscope on each other. We were amazed at what I doctor or nurse would hear when using a stethoscope on patients. With three elderly in the home, and two with medical problems, I like this new addition to my medical supplies for home use. After a conversation with my physician, he explained how this item could be helpful for giving him information in between appointments.
This paramed stethoscope is a very nice stethoscope, very professional, I like that it comes with an extra cover and extra earpieces! My granddaughters loved being able to hear their heartbeats, just to make it known this stethoscope is NOT a toy, it is the real deal! I like that when doing my husband's blood pressure I can use this and also get his pulse- like I said this is NOT a toy this is the real deal!! I highly recommend this for most anyone and also would make a nice gift if you know a nurse or doctor!! Definately a quality product, made and feels sturdy, NOT cheaply made!
I bought this to replace my Littman that I lost to a spiteful ex. I didn't and couldn't really afford another, and WOW am I glad I bought this! The quality is amazing. I'm just a nurse, so I don't need to differentiate too many different sounds and this works nicely for what I need. I recommend this for other nurses, students, techs, etc.
You really can't go wrong with a stethoscope. It's a simple device. But small variations in design can make a difference in sound quality. I'm not a cardiologist. I use my stethoscope to take blood pressure and listen to infant and adult heart beats. This stethoscope handled general use just fine. It seems to be better quality than your low-end models. The tubing is larger, for one. It comes with an extra membrane and a second (equal) set of ear cushions. The ear pieces are very comfortable and don't hurt my ears. I would say that as a basic stethoscope this one is pretty nice.
I have had issues with several orders in the past month. One order I never received. Another order showed as lost. Spoke with customer service and they recommended a refund and re order items. They issued refund and I placed a new order. 3 days after that my lost order showed up. So now when new order arrives I have to return items and get a refund on them. I has been a nightmare. I think i!m DONE WITH ONLINE ORDERS. They use FedEx for deliveries which has been a problem. Will stick with Amazon never have issues with them..
Based upon the rave positive reviews here I bought this stethoscope. It IS very loud as you slide it across your chest trying to locate the spot where your pulse can be detected. Unfortunately that spot doesn't exist, at least not for the one I purchased. As mentioned above, the sound (bumping and scuffing noise) is very loud so yes, they work, went by the brief instructions, and are being used correctly. They will pick up most all sounds except what is the loudest sound in your body---your pulse. For this there is nothing at all. My wife has super sensitive hearing so I asked her to try them out. She had the same experience so back to the store they went. Hope you have better luck.
