Pennington Feeding Frenzy No- Melt Suet Dough Woodpecker & Songbird Wild Bird Food, 10 oz- 8 Pack, Fresh

Our neighborhood birds absolutely love this suet! We have a constant swarm around the feeder, with tons of species of woodpeckers. Friends who came to visit said they never see woodpeckers at their feeders and enjoyed watching the activity around our hanging suet cage as much as we do.

I get this for Flickers and they like it, as do other woodpeckers, junkos, chickadees, bushtits, stellar's jays, wrens, and a few others. It's not overly waxy or greasy, and not very crumbly, so not too messy to work with. I haven't had hot weather yet to see if that impacts the cake's 'durability'.

Birds love these energy suet cakes. These are a big draw for birds and I get quite a variety of visitors, especially different types of woodpeckers. This is easy to use in the feeders designed for the cakes. I think it's easier than the suet from the butcher shop! Who isn't about easy these days?! 😁

Bird's prefer c %26 s suet over this Pennington brand. I have fat birds for over 40 decades and I do watch what they like to eat. They do like the Pennington brand. However, when I put the C%26S suet out they definitely go for that first. just what I've observed.

I have always liked this brand. Sure there are fewer suet blocks w/ shrinkflation these days but this suet is HARD even at room temp! Looks like they skimped on the amount of suet in it which is the point of serving suet blocks to birds. I always get “no melt” suet blocks but the birds will need a chisel for this stuff! And, NO, I will not buy it again

Would give these 0 stars if possible. I assume they changed the content of these in the rebranding process from C%26S. The birds will barely touch them. The joke is on Pennington. I used to limit how often I put fresh ones out because the birds would demolish them so quickly. Now they stay in the feeder for weeks on end so no need to restock.

Maybe my mistake but this suet is ALL cracked corn with a binder. I wanted/expected a variety of seed with the rendered (fat) binder. Also, this seems to be the same price as what I consider the "good" suet. In-store pricing seems to be the same, so I see no extra value for purchasing online. Fast delivery, and the birds seem to be eating it.

Don't know if they changed the recipe or the product was old and dried out, but there was no gooey suet at all. It was hard and dry. The woodpeckers, which usually devour these, wouldn't touch them. My chickadees have been picking at them all winter. I used to go through at least four 8-packs all winter. This one 8-pack has lasted 4 months and I still have 3 squares left! The good news - I saved a lot of money this winter using only one 8-pack. The bad news. The birds really don't like this super hard, dried out stuff. I won't buy again unless I'm in store and can check to see there is actually suet in the package.

I didn't buy a case of this to feed the squirrels. I bought it to feed the birds, but the birds won't even touch it. This is disappointing. I am not rich. I can't afford to spend $10 on a case Granite it was a couple bucks off the original price, but I can't afford to buy suet for squirrels. I've already I've already used four of them. I put four out at a time don't buy this flavor. They do not like it. The birds that is.

I have been using the C%26S brand that was replaced by this product for about 6 years. This claims to be the same formula. IT IS NOT!!! Birds in my yard have been gobbling up the C%26S formula in about 2 days, I have 2 of these in my backyard. I bought this product. They eat it when they are desperate because food is scarce in the desert. It takes them about 3 weeks to eat these. NO GOOD!!! NOT THE SAME!!!! Will NOT buy again.
