Unlike the no-melt dough product which is horrible, this suet cake has real suet and the birds love it!

I like this suet because all the birds in my yard LOVE this suet. It contains rendered beef fat, which is a favorite of theirs and it keeps them full and content longer on freezing cold days, so the bird parents don't have to be constantly feeding the little ones. You must replace it with non-melt suet on the hot summer days. I cut up all the different kinds of suet into tiny squares (sort of like brownies,) and line the edges of the bird feeder platforms with these...especially for the woodpeckers that love to hang on to the edge and eat Then I fill the center with all the seeds the birds love. I can switch out the suet easily with fresh suet.

We’ve historically bought High Energy Suet, but switched to Woodpecker Suet - The birds seem to prefer the Woodpecker Suet. And not just the woodpeckers either - the wrens, cardinals, and tufteds seem to prefer it too.

We have tried numerous suet cakes, and this one has been the favored amongst our local woodpeckers and starlings here in Central Wisconsin. We have been getting all different types of woodpeckers and will continue to purchase as long as they keep it the same.

Wish the suet wouldn't have corn as an ingredient: woodpeckers skip it, finches too. For now, I haven't found anyone who would eat it apart from mice and hungry squirrels. Also, when the order was placed, the item's image was different (blue with a pileated woodpecker). At the time of the pickup, the item image was different. The store didn't inform me that it's the same product -> I had to Google it to find out.

Like the Woodpecker Treat with variety of nuts. Various Woodpeckers love it as well as a variety of other birds. Even on hottest days the suet doesnt melt and the birds peck the cage clean. Also easy to clean the feeder.

The birds love this. One cake lasts about two days. if the starlings and their brood would go away, it would last longer. The Downey, red-bellied and hairy really enjoy it

All the birds seem to enjoy eating the cakes. Have not noticed any of the squirrels bothering the feeder but they have their own, so maybe that is why they stay away from the cake.

We have a lot of woodpeckers around here and they love this. They go through it quickly but other birds love it as well like creepers, nuthatches, chickadees, and titmice.

This suet was half the thickness of the suet I buy elsewhere and it really fell apart quick. The birds ate the cake in less than four hours. I went to another store and bought suet cakes. It takes the birds two days to eat the new ones and they don't melt with the heat
