Adjustable dumbbells like the PowerBlock Elite EXP are a popular choice for home gyms and fitness enthusiasts. Prices for these types of products may fluctuate throughout the year, with potential discounts or sales during peak shopping seasons. It's recommended to research current pricing and availability from multiple retailers to find the best deal.
Very quick to unbox and does not take up a lot of space for a home workout gym. Easy to switch out the weight using the slider which I liked better than the clicking mechanism on other type of adjustable weight systems. Would recommend changing out the grip to a knurled grip. These can be found online and very quick to change out less than 5 minutes and allows for a more secure grip.
These power locks are great, and an absolute steal at this Walmart price! You're going to pay at least $400 for the same thing anywhere else. Powerblocks were one of the original adjustable dumbbells. They usually have a higher durability, but their recent increase in price doesn't reflect any significant upgrades and improvements. Although, at this price, definitely worth it! Beast of dumbbells, easy to adjust, sturdy, and maybe most importantly, I feel like robocop when I'm working out. “I'd buy that for a dollar!”
I have owned several different set ups over the years, but I was a complete noob when it came to power blocks But I have to admit once you get past their unusual design and feel they are designed for longevity and safety The add-on weights take a little getting used to, but I cannot come up with a better idea for a design, and there is very little to go wrong I must also give credit for the fact that these come very well packed even the small touches like having plastic around every other weight to prevent scratches in transportation was appreciated when you pay this much for a dumbbell set
The compact design and adjustable weight selection make this a great choice for those looking to save space while working out. The variety of possible weight settings allow users to increase their workouts over time with the same dumbbell, and the two available expansion sets (up to 90lb total) provide even more flexibility and long-term utility from the same device. Despite its boxy form, the PowerBlock is surprisingly ergonomic and easy to handle in different positions. Anyone new to working out should expect this dumbbell to last a long time and continue to provide a challenge as they get stronger.
Great, sturdy set of dumbells. Adjustments are quick and incremental in 2.5 or 5 lb increments. The grips and width of the fully loaded dumbell takes some adjustments to get used to but it's minor considering the advantages
Easy to adjust weight to fit the exercise. They don't look like traditional dumbbells but they work well and are the most compact of any out there today.
The product itself is great. Easily and quickly change weights. I just didn't feel like I could safely grip for the moves I wanted to do like goblet squats, or safely change hands without putting it down. So I returned it.
Definitely a must buy for your home gym. The flat ends are perfect for resting on you thighs, while seated on the bench just before you hike them up. Don't think of them as bulky blocks now, you are lifting weights. GET SWOOL!!
Good product, but pricey. Walmart is selling 1 rather than as a pair, like other sites sell them. For an adjustable dumbbell. A pair is more useful. I ended up buying a second at a higher price than the first. From that perspective, the pricing and marketing is slightly deceptive. But caveat emptor.
The listing clearly says “adjustable dumbbells,” but I was very disappointed to find out it's only one dumbbell. To be fair, it says “single” at the end of the sentence, but it should be listed as “adjustable dumbbell” (singular). I'm sure there are people who only want to buy a single one, but the way this is advertised is deceptive—it does not make it clear that you are ordering only one. Otherwise, it seems like a great product, but I haven't had the chance to use it as I will be returning it and ordering from somewhere else.
