The quantity for the price was much more economical than going to the grocery store and buying off the spice rack. I use it daily in my tea and the taste is as good or better than much more expensive saffron.

This saffron has good flavor but is weak and appears to be dyed. I have bought a lot of saffron and the threads always vary in color from dark red to golden. This product, however, was 100 percent uniform in color and the color itself seemed off. The dye does not seem to have affected the taste, but I find myself using way too much to achieve the desired potency in dishes.

FAKE Saffron. Used paprika corn starch for coloring. Disgusting how they find a way to cheat buyers!. DONT SUPPORT This merchant. Place one thread of saffron in half a glass COLD water, is the thread releases orange color immediately, is a FAKE saffron like this one!

Extremely difficult to open the can; I had to drill a hole in it. Extremely poor quality saffron. I have not purchased such poor-quality saffron in a long time. Highly disappointed.

This product is not a super negin grade. It has no aroma. It only showed color, but I wonder whether it is a natural color at all, considering that no flavor whatsoever. Granted that the price is low, but I bought it thinking that is from Afghanistan, so it ought to be good, if not the best. Completely disappointed. In fact, saffron from Afghanistan seems to be world renowned, but this is nowhere near it. NO TASTE and NO FLAVOR. I am no expert, but I have used saffron over the years and I can surely judge when it is no good.
