I owned this pan for 9 years until the surface finally gave out, but used it a lot. I considered other similar pans, but finally decided to go with a quality product. I love the surface, the temperature control, and the fact that the legs fold and can be placed inside the pan to save storage space. The pan is finished beautifully on all sides. I would recommend this pan.

Great Skillet

I really enjoy using this skillet. The ease of washing and then storing makes it above other skillets. To keep from scratches the skillet with the lid, I just put a hand towel in between

So far so GREAT

miche June 20, 2014

I have owned this skillet for two weeks now. So far I have made 2 lbs enchilada chicken in it, and 1 lb of pasta with sauce, all of which turned out perfectly. It cleans very easily and I am pleased with the amount of food I could fit in the pan. I was amazed that it fit an entire pound of pasta & wasn't overflowing at all! In fact we could have probably fit another 1/2 lb of pasta in the skillet if needed. This is a great product and I would highly recommend it. If anything changes about it I will update the review.

Love this skillet.

I bought this specific model skillet for my daughter as a gift. She saw mine and wanted one. I have had this model for several years and LOVE it. The handle/base stores inside the skillet for storage and clean up is so easy. It has a pour spout/vent on one corner that also allows a cooking utensil to to rest there with the lid on, keeping your counter clean. The large clear lid is easy to see through and can be stored upside down on top of the skillet . I had to order this online since I could not find it in the Walmart stores but I used the ship to store option and it was actually quicker and easier than home shipping. Definitely recommend this skillet!

So far, Great

Used it for first time over weekend. One of the nicest features is how it cooks evenly. Would not purchase this from the selling point of being a Foldaway as you still have the lid you have to do something with, but the unit works well and is way less expensive through Walmart than through other locations I saw online.

Presto Electric Foldaway Skillet

KFSC June 15, 2013

I purchased this skillet to replace my older Presto Electric Skillet that is probably over 20 years old! The reason for replacing it was the thermostat was getting very hot rather quickly so rather than wait for an accident, I started searching for a replacement. This foldaway skillet is awesome! I love the fact you can store it in less space than other models where the legs are attached. Since they tell you to store the legs inside the skillet, I did decide to place some of that nonskid cushiony shelf liner in the skillet before I store the legs inside, to ensure I don't scratch the nonstick surface. I have only used the skillet once to date, but I LOVE the fact the lid is glass and you can see how things are cooking. There is a little pour spout on one corner which I also like. Not only does it help in removing liquid or grease, but it's a great place to put a serving spoon if you want to put the lid back on and keep things warm! I will caution anyone that has the older Presto that this one is a tad bit wider and a bit deeper as well (an added bonus!). I was not able to store it in the same location as the old one because of the additional width, but that is certainly not a downside to the skillet itself! Just be aware you may have to relocate it even with the folding legs. My only concern is whether or not the tabs you press down on to release the skillet from the legs will hold up over time. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Great space saver invention.

LSSO August 19, 2013

Everything fold up and fit inside of the pan itself. Interesting invention and a great space saver. Product works quickly and distribute heat evenly. The spout on one of the corner helps in draining the grease without hassel. I only own this for a month now, still working like it should, but could not rate it for long term durability.

Presto Foldaway Skillet

MadManMarsh June 21, 2016

This is my second one. The first lasted maybe a year and a half before the non-stick became very-stick. In fairness, I think it was how we treated it. We didn't use metal utensils, but we did clean it with the same thing we wash all our other dishware with: scotch-brite-type pads. I tend to think this lead to the deterioration of the non-stick surface. We really like everything else about this item, thus our re-purchase.

needing a new electric frying pan and unable to find 16 inch in the store, I was happy to find it on Walmart online (in store pickup). I've only had time to use a few times but it cooked well. I would have liked a better weight on the pan itself but that seems to be all new products these days. The control is a little difficult for me to see and I would prefer low, med and high but sure most people prefer the actual temperature. I do like the pan coming away from the base for easier cleaning. It packs up beautifully if you only use occasionally and put it away. I love having this appliance and use it most days for breakfast or dinner. The cover is glass and the spoon vent is sufficient for a steam vent. Good product. Hope it lasts a long time.
