Presto Dorothy™ Rapid Cold Brew Coffee Maker - 02937

I have never tried to Cold Brew coffee before, so this was all new to me. The product will fit anywhere, this does NOT take up space like a standard coffee maker. I followed the instructions as to fill MAX with water and how much coffee grounds. I used the same coffee grounds as for brewing with a standard Hot Coffee Maker. You are able to brew/spin for 10 -20 minutes depending on desired strength and I do prefer 10 minutes as to my taste. As for the speed I put it on 3/4 for duration. I also did allow this to rest for the recommended 5 minutes before plunge & pour. Total process taking 15 minutes start to finish (but you do not need to be standing there while it does its brew/spin or if you let it rest). The process to "plunge" coffee grounds from water is simple and easy, on my first attempt I yielded NO coffee grounds in my coffee! Besides dumping coffee grounds in garbage when done (grounds are always messy) this product is easy to clean. Hand Wash Only in warm sudsy water nothing special. I did not feel that this was too complicated. I am excited to use this product more since there seem to be benefits to having a nice cold brew as opposed to hot. This does use a plug for electric to spin and I do recommend keeping this unplugged when not in use. The Glass jar seems very sturdy and durable, not a thin flimsy glass prone to crack. My oldest son LOVES the tornado this makes when spinning the water before you dump in coffee grounds! There is no spillage during this process and pours out nicely into cup! I was not disappointed in the taste. I honestly have never thought to purchase a COLD brew appliance for coffee, if I wanted cold coffee I just let it get cold. But now that I have been able to try this process, I can taste a difference, this DOES seem to be smooth or perhaps less acidic (as is a stated benefit for cold brew option). I do enjoy cold coffees and if you do too, then you will appreciate this product. Though this is 'small' capacity, this should yield enough for 3 coffee mugs/cups for 3 persons.

I already own some other Presto products so I was excited when I learned about this cold brew coffee maker. The instructions are pretty simple and presto has an instruction video on their YouTube channel. You just have to pour the grounds into the water slowly. You have to make sure that the little tornado is touching the tip at the bottom of the picture. The coffee maker requires a lot of grounds for one cup. Then you wait for 10-20 minutes before you can turn it off. All you have to do is slowly push the top down until you feel a click. It tasted pretty good. It surprised me. The filter was able to get rid of all the grounds. The flavor was very smooth. The only downside is that it is messy to clean. You have to be careful when pulling it up because the grounds will spill out. The surfaces are smooth and easy to wipe and scrub it.

Fantastic compact, French-press style cold brew coffee maker. It takes up very little counter space and stores easily when not in use. The instruction manual is a little intimidating - the steps are extremely detailed - but after you work through the process once, it's a snap. You literally set it up, turn it on, and can walk away until the brew time is complete. There's just one on/off speed adjustment knob - very easy to dial in the right speed. I had no problems with the pitcher overflowing or toppling and the stirring mechanism is extremely smooth. The press fits very tightly, so it requires some patience to depress completely. On the other hand, I've used it several times now and I find absolutely no grounds in my coffee. The glass pitcher itself is a little on the thin side - you'll want to handle it carefully and not bump it. I brewed a carafe of iced coffee for my Fourth of July picnic and stored it in the fridge for a few hours. Tasted great and my guests thought I ran out to pick up iced coffee, they wouldn't believe this was home-brewed. Definitely recommend to coffee aficionados, or anyone who likes iced coffee seasonally. Even if I only use it during warmer months, it's a great addition to my kitchen.

I used this cold coffee brewer for the first time and I realy liked it. I used to make my cold coffee using the instant coffee in a blender but that "kick" used to be missing from the coffee. Its very easy to use and doesn't take much time except to wait for the coffee granules to settle down for about 10 mins before you can strain it and drink. the straining cup works as expected and you won't find any granules in your drink. Over all a good experience with this machine.

Ooooh I love this cold brew coffee maker! I love a good cold brew from popular coffee shops, but they are expensive, so they are just a special treat once in awhile. BUT... with the amazing little find, I can indulge more often!!! It was simple and easy to use. My kids loved watching the "tornado" inside... it was pretty entertaining! I had a coffeehouse-worthy drink in 20 minutes, and it was delicious! Also- it made enough for two servings, I could have had another later... if my teenage son didn't drink it! This would be a great gift for a coffee lover!

I love my Dorothy cold brew maker! It's easy to clean, even easier to use and creates a great tasting cup of iced coffee. Simply plug the base in, place the carafe into the base, turn it up to create the funnel, and pour your coffee grounds in. After waiting the recommended time for your brew (we like the medium brew the best-20 minutes) slowly use the plunger to push the grounds into the cup at the bottom of the carafe. This keeps them separate so you get a nice groundless, pour. The taste is phenomenal, and we're saving money by not ordering out. I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone. Thanks Walmart Spark, for giving me the opportunity to keep this product in exchange for my opinion. It's our favorite kitchen item to date.

Let me say initially I was clueless. I waited for the “tornado” and stared at the brewer for a while and couldn't figure out why it wasn't spinning. Finally I located a video and it was smooth sailing from there. I realized I had to remove the plunger before I started. I chose the light brew for my first go round. 15 minutes later I had a perfect glass of coffee. I love that I could start the machine and walk away and come back to finished coffee. You do have to let it rest 5 minutes after the brew to get the grinds to settle.

We like this little gadget. It basically like a fancier french press. It's easy to do - fill it to the line with cold water, slowly start it until you see a water tornado, then slowly pour 3/4 of a cup of ground coffee in it (SLOWLY!) and let it spin for 15-30 minutes. Then you strain it - just like you do a french press coffee maker - pour, and drink! We've used it several times. Cleaning it out is messy, any french press type machine is, because coffee grounds like to get every where, but it makes a good cup of joe with some added sugar and ice cubes. I've included a picture of it next to my kitchen mixer so you can see the size.

Honestly it works how it says it does. it is small so you cant get much out of it. th3 glass is super thin!! My biggest complaint is when i opened the walmart box it looked like the product's box went through a flood carboard expanded, the box was flaking off the images.. My first thought was to return it but after opening it the product wasnt wet nor did it look like it was wet then dried. i tried ot and it worked so i kept it.
