Proctor Silex 10-Cup Drip Coffee Maker Machine with Glass Coffee Pot, Black

Was using a 5 cup machine and it just wasn't enough. This is a nice and simple coffee maker. Brews quickly and like making about 7 cups. Not interested in a programmable machine

Great unit

I replaced a five-cup Mr Coffee with this ten-cup machine to avoid brewing twice a day. I forgot how big and heavy a full coffee pot this size is. I'm working around that, but my biggest bother is that there is no way to know when to stop filling the reserve (to me it's a big black cavernous tub with no calibration). Otherwise it brews delicious coffee, and after all, what else matters?!?

Only thing that would make it btter would be to include a few coffee filters.

Markings on carafe are difficult to read if you are right-handed. On/off switch should be on the front instead of on the right side.

I like the size of this (10 cup). The quality is very good, and it's easy to use. The little thing that I love is the little swirly on the lid of the unit that guides the drips down to the reservoir after you are done using it instead of dripping down the unit onto the shelf as all of my previous ones did.

Wanted a smaller pot but tried two both had big problems. Bought a good 12 cup looks great just too large for my cabinet, this is doing the job. Never had or been around Proctor Silex easy to use make coffee do not believe it will last I do not know why I said that lol. I do believe will get my moneys worth. Does not turn off and when I have to raise lid my hand has been scalded a few times

Found coffeemaker too bulky. You need to fill the coffee pot and use it to fill the machine with water. Also, the opening where you pour the water is small and you need to watch what you are doing or you have water on your counter and in the coffee basket. I remove the basket before filling the machine with water. Hard to clean inside of machine when done using it. I leave the cover open to be sure it is completely dry inside before putting it away. All in all it takes me much longer using this machine than it did my last machine where I was able to pour water directly into the machine from my water pitcher and it was much easier to clean. I like Proctor Silex but not impressed with this item.

Even with price increase it is poorly packaged for shipping resulting in permanent scratches....It makes more noise as water passes through movable water supply arm then mth previous one I had....No good excuses for these issues.

The lid has marks on it and it leaks.
