Proctor Silex 10-Cup Drip Coffee Maker Machine with Glass Coffee Pot, Black

Was using a 5 cup machine and it just wasn't enough. This is a nice and simple coffee maker. Brews quickly and like making about 7 cups. Not interested in a programmable machine

quality was 1star because the reservoir lid hinge was broken on one side. Other than that it serves it's purpose well for a one coffee drinker household and you can have a cup of coffee in less than 2 minutes. it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Markings on carafe are difficult to read if you are right-handed. On/off switch should be on the front instead of on the right side.

Only thing that would make it btter would be to include a few coffee filters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great drip coffee machine without all the bells and whistles but with a few extra features. This coffee machine is incredibly simple. It has a removable coffee basket for easy cleaning, the carafe can be turned around so that the handle fits inside the machine. The coffee basket is designed so that the drip will pause if you remove the carafe. The water spout can be moved to allow easy removal of the coffee basket. The cord can be hidden inside the base and has a good length to it. It takes about five minutes to brew a whole pot of coffee. This is a little long in my opinion, but I may be entirely too used to instant gratification. Needless to say, this is a great little coffee pot if you just need something simple that works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last coffee pot broke so I was happy to replace it with the Hamilton Beach Proctor Silex coffee maker. This coffee Maker is nice and compact and simply makes coffee. My favorite feature is the pause feature. As your coffee is brewing if you simply want to pour yourself a cup, you can pull the pot out and the coffee brewing will stop without any mess.The entire coffee maker functions properly with a quick and excellent brew and the hot plate keeping the coffee hot. Another great feature is the lid that covers the entire coffee pot lip, which makes it less likely that you will crack the lip of the glass pot. Enhancing the longevity and quality of the coffee maker.

Even with price increase it is poorly packaged for shipping resulting in permanent scratches....It makes more noise as water passes through movable water supply arm then mth previous one I had....No good excuses for these issues.

Bulky, number of cups on opposite side of pot so difficult to fill, no water level on outside of heating element and my 4 cups of coffee turned into 1 and 1/2 cups of coffee. I will be returning this item.

The lid has marks on it and it leaks.

Compared to Mr Coffee, plastic parts are flimsy. The hot water blows a hole in the coffee so the ground coffee doesn't evenly distribute. Coffe is then weak.
