Most store-bought fennel is good. This is truly fine. I'm tempted to double-wrap it and put it in my freezer for special occasion use. Then I'd get a store-bought package for everyday use. One suggestion I read is that unless you wish the visual of whole fennel seeds in your creation, you can release more fennel flavor by crushing the seeds with a rolling pin or chopping them up some with a knife. I have tried several different brands of fennel seeds, including the most popular brand of seasoning at Walmart. This is the first one that smells amazing on opening the container and doesn't taste like sweat sox. I'm so tired of all this GMO'd garbage it all tastes poodoo. Definitely recommend.

I really hadn't used fennel seed before. when I open these and smelled them I liked the smell and I like the taste so now I have to find other recipes besides the one I bought this for to use it because it really has a very pleasant taste. I wouldn't eat just the seeds alone but using them in a recipe for seasoning would be great. I was pleasantly surprised. I bought them to use in a recipe for chai tea concentrate but as it turns out I didn't really care for the concentrate but I really liked the fennel. I haven't yet checked in my herb books about medicinal uses for fennel but that's something that I will check out.

I love fennel seed. I like to put it on my pizza and in certain soups. It was my first time trying this brand and it didn't disappoint. I will be purchasing it again.

The fennel was very fresh and was packaged very nicely. The value per ounce was a big incentive for purchasing because I do a lot of of home cooking and wanted a bulk option for fennel.

Seeds were fresh and the taste was subtle. I used it in a panzanella salad, after crushing some seeds in a mortar and pestle with some course ground black pepper. Very tasty!

It had the bright fresh taste found in Indian cuisine and served after a meal in high end Indian restaurants. I enjoyed every last grain and wanted more when it was finished!

These are great Fennel seeds. Fresh and tasty. My only issue is the bottle was smaller than I expected. The price seems a little high for what you get.
