Simply Asia Furikake Japanese Style Seasoning, 4.58 oz Bottle

I purchased this for my son because he really likes this type of seasoning. I did not think that I was going to like it, but I have found myself using it on a lot of different foods like rice, clear thai noodles, chicken, shrimp, etc.

Purchased this spice to use in a dumpling soup recipe, it worked out well. We have used it on our other Asian meals ( pot kickers in the air fryer, fried rice, spring rolls) every time we have used this it made the flavors of the meal better.

I've tried other types of Furikake before, and some have had overpowering tastes and scents. I was surprised that this one didn't have a strong seaweed or sesame aroma, considering it contains a good amount of both ingredients. I used it on crab dip, eggs, and ramen, and it added a nice crunch with a balanced umami flavor that I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, and I am considering repurchasing it in the future.

This Furikake mix is delicious. I got some plain tuna nigiri and sprinkled some of this on. (Well, actually, I sprinkled the furikake into the plate, them turned the nigiri piece upside down and rubbed the tuna side on the furikake.) It was delicious! It had a nice flavor profile and mixture of textures...the one that surprised me most was the little bits of coarse salt, but I liked the crunch and, somehow, or didn't render the mixture too salty. I think this could be great for any kind of fish, or even sprinkled on a salad.

It's a bit salty and mainly sesame seeds. But it's not horrible. I put it on rice mainly though. This is my first time trying stuff like this so I have nothing to compare it to. But it it's not horrible.

Flavor is very good. I ran out of my Nori Komi Furikake and my local Walmart does not carry it. I purchased this one in a pinch and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. very comparable to Nori Komi and the price was goid as well.

I was a little skeptical because I'm not big on sesame seeds but I was pleasantly surprised! It has a nice umami taste, and a little bit of spice. The sesame seeds are more there for texture than the taste itself and it can easily elevate any rice bowl.

The quality in the flavor of this is not as good as other brands of furikake that require refrigeration. Some of the flavor is clearly lost in making the product shelf stable. However, it is easier to own because it doesn't require any special storage and despite not being the best, it's still quite good.

no comparison to the jfc brand that's usually stocked.. this substitute is basically 99% seeds and the little seaweed it does have is like preferred powdered

Just too seed-heavy to really be enjoyable the way nori komi is. If you're looking for what is essentially a bottle of sesame seeds with minor accents, this is the one for you.
