Amazing flavor!

Bianca January 8, 2025

Super delicious! I didn’t actually follow the directions exactly. I added some water and oil to the dry seasoning atbe like a half a cup, and a tablespoon oil. and then I added half to my beans and dipped my tortillas in the rest of the sauce and fried them just like birria tacos. It was amazing! Highly recommend

Amazing seasoning!

CS400 January 14, 2025

I used this to make birria tacos tonight and it was a huge success! My kids LOVED the Birria quesadillas! I used a pack of this seasoning with a pack of ranch seasoning, a pack of au jus seasoning, a small jar of peppercinis including juices and 1 cup of tomato sauce and then 6 cups of hot water. Cooked on high for 6 hours and it was absolutely delicious! Add in chopped cilantro and onion at the end and let them sit and soften in the consume. I would recommend this seasoning to anyone wanting to make birria tacos

So good. I usually salt and pepper my beef than brown it add this seasoning and water or broth with fresh veg like garlic onion tomato bay leaf cinnamon etc. It doesn't need it but I like extra flavor. It taste just as good as the food trucks. Wish it came in a bigger bottle but the portion is good enough. I would say it can be a bit salty so add more water or don't salt as much in the beginning or just opt for no salt all together but the flavor is all there.

DELICIOUS!!!

Stang March 27, 2026

This seasoning was great! Even better than the birria's we get at our favorite local Mexican restaurant. We bought a 2 lb. angus prime roast, cut it into 4 pieces, put it in the crock pot with this seasoning, a packet of dry ranch seasoning and a container of low sodium beef broth. Cooked it on medium/high for 4 hrs., shredded the beef, added half of a diced sweet onion and a 1/4 cup fresh cilantro and let it simmer on warm for another hour. We pan fried some organic tortilla shells in olive oil, added Gordo's white cheese dip, topped with the shredded meat and more fresh onion and cilantro. We then spooned out some of the juice from the crock pot into a custard cup and used it to dip our birria tacos -- DELICIOUS! No need to visit the local restaurant any longer!

Excellent for Crock Pot Too!

William August 5, 2025

Has a great flavor. I have also used this in the crockpot with beef roast, and with pork tenderloin that was shredded for tacos. I’ll continue to buy it.

Too Sweet

Northwest October 22, 2024

I honestly wasn't expecting a truly authentic birria flavor to come from a seasoning packet but this was not even remotely close to tasting like birria. First off it is very very sweet tasting and the directions suggest using it directly on the meat as a dry seasoning. The spices didn't even come close to give the flavor of birria either. I was expecting this to be more of a slow cooker seasoning to make a consome like true birria. Will not purchase again

NOT Birria!

anonymous May 22, 2025

NOT even close to Birria seasoning. Couldn't find all the spices I needed for Birria so thought this would fill in. NOPE it has brown sugar in it, cinnamon (which is in birria but not listed on the package...my daughter is allergic) it tells you to put on meat before grilling....no slow cooking at all. It doesn't taste like birria. Some may like the flavor just not what is expected. It also has Yeast in it which is not good for GF recipes.

NOT birria flavored

Julie May 25, 2025

Extremely disappointed. This does not taste at all like Birria. All I could get from this was a chili lime flavor. I grilled wings and then shook this on as a dry rub. It’s not terrible, but it’s very bland.

The only reason why I HATED it is because it was EXTREMELY Cinnamon-y. I checked the ingredients and thought I was safe, but apparently that is included in “Spices” on the ingredient list.
