Swanson Beef Stock, 32 oz Carton

Swanson is far superior to several other brands (i.e. Kitchen brand) and is always consistent. I will use their beef stock and beef broth and on rare occasions I will even buy their beef bone broth. I use it with my roasts, to make my own soup, once in a while in mashed potatoes. I have been known to microwave a cup when I am ill. I used to always buy Sweet Sue chicken broth but since I never see it in stock, I use Swanson's chicken varieties all the time. I will make my beloved Bisquik dumplings in a small stock pot with the chicken broth. Sometimes, I add it to my chicken Stove Top stuffing. I've even drank a cup of it when ill, too. I have made other stuff, as well, but I think you get the picture - it's good!

I always buy stock instead of broth cuz of the more intense flavor and strength. It isn't too salty so you have the ability to season to your liking. I have bought this often and usually have a carton or two on hand for when needed.

Love it! I actually prefer a stock-based beef stew over a broth one because I like the consistency and deep rich flavor over a thinner consistency. I sometimes change to 50/50 or add a little broth later on, but my preference is pure stock.

This beef stock enhances and elevates soups, stews, sauces, gravys, dips and so much more. It is versatile and flavorful with no weird after taste. It tastes homemade and cuts out the hours of work needed to make your own beef stock.

Stock is made with bone and has gelatin in it, the process generally takes a bit longer than broth. We mostly use this as a base for gravy.

Sometimes this product is good and sometimes it's not! Lately the flavor has been tasting really bitter. The product is not expired but has a weird strong flavor. This product is a hit or miss!

Received this with a slow leak. Went unnoticed and Ruined my brand new pantry shelf I just had installed! Could this have happened during preparing for delivery or from delivery driver? Either way cannot undo the damage this caused. Not so satisfied customer!
