The performance of this ice maker is outstanding it is nugget ice however I believe it is not exactly Sonic type ice or like my GE Opal but I think it'll last longer not as many steps to the process I don't think that this machine crushes the ice before making it into a nugget this is just my opinion still the ice is outstanding that's why I still give it five stars easier to chew still because of smaller pieces I would recommend this to anybody who loves nugget ice you won't be disappointed and like many people my opal ice maker only lasted about two and a half years I expect I'll have this one much longer The quality is really good also note in picture I have mine in my garage and it gets really hot so I have a little fan behind it going to the back vent and to the side vent helping get cool air to it and it makes ice really fast even in 100° garage My opal would stop working because of the heat this one doesn't just make sure to put a fan if you choose to do this on the left side as picture shows so you are not hurting the fan performance that is already in the internal part of the machine you don't need to do this it just makes for faster ice production

I love this ice maker. It has a large ice holding basket. It isn't very loud. It makes the ice quickly. I like it so much that I ordered a second one to have available when this one eventually stops working. The price was great.

This little machine may be small but it can make some ice. My kids love sonic ice and this machine makes it in the convenience of our home. It even comes with ice bags to fill up and put in the freezer. It's absolutely worth every penny to buy one.

This makes a LOT of small, soft ice 'squares' (think of that favorite restaurant ice that you love to crunch!). It is slightly taller than the others we've had, but still fits well within the confines of the drink bar hutch. It's self cleaning, there are no visible metal 'grates' to corrode (it's a small spinner type at the top of the machine, so no water pooling), the compressor and fans are VERY quiet for a countertop model, and the finish is handprint/fingerprint resistant. The reservoir holds almost 2lts of water, and it is continuously making ice (no need to babysit and hit the 'make' button to continue production). Once the ice tub is full, ice production ceases until the chute is cleared, and immediately resumes. We've only had it for a month, but so far, we're extremely happy with the value for the price. We drink a lot of ice water, and we've not been without full glasses of ice (3 busy, water buffaloes living in the house, drinking up all the water and filling 32oz cups with ice at least once an hour).

Quick to make ice very use to set up and start using.

Makes ice pretty quickly. Fits under the counter. It's a nice size. Ice is small and Sonic like. Machine runs most of the time it seems. I need to check about adjusting that. Very nice purchase!

This icemaker is great. It produces ice very quickly, but it makes a lot of noise at the beginning. If it doesn't have any water in it it makes a loud noise until you put water in and then the noise calms down. If you're OK with that, then I encourage you to buy one if you're not ok with the noise issue and it's a big deal to you then I say move forward. You'll eventually find the one that's right for you.

This is a great ice machine however, if you need ice immediately, it is a little slow and that is the only downfall. It is easy to clean. It is very quiet, but when it gets started, I love the larger basket because it allows you to make more ice than the usual machines. The first ice machine that I purchased was on an online site and it did not last three months and loud . I have had this machine for over a year and I use it daily.

I purchased this nugget ice maker at the end of February and was really happy with it up until last night. It had been working perfectly fine and making great ice, but then out of nowhere I heard a loud noise and found that the top portion had literally blown off. I'm Also glad my children weren't near it when it exploded. I was shocked and very disappointed, especially since it hasn't even lasted a year. I had chosen this model after reading so many great reviews, but now I feel upset and let down. For the price, I expected much better durability.

ONLY LASTED 7 months!!!! Purchased this ice maker: 7/21/25. Stopped working: 2/21/26. Over email, the seller/manufacturer initially engaged my emails but stopped communicating after I submitted a short video showing that the ice maker does not turn on. The seller/manufacturer ghosted me and had not responded to honoring their 1-year warranty to replace the ice maker. Additionally, I purchased the extended warranty from Walmart and the Walmart warranty cannot be used because this ice maker is still under the 1-year seller/manufacturer. In my emails with the seller/manufacturer, I submitted model number, purchase verification (Order %23) and a short video showing the ice maker does not turn on. Terrible customer service! Terrible Ice Maker! No recourse with the vendor or Walmart. I will be escalating this to Walmart leadership.
