Tastes like an orange flavored gummy and I wouldn't say it has any aftertaste. The bottle smells a bit weird if you sniff it, but it's probably because it doesn't use gelatin to coat the algal oil. I haven't found any other vegetarian options for Omega-3, so I guess this is the best option for Walmart.

Bad rap. Great many negative review re fishy smell and taste. I felt they would probably taste and smell like anchovies—the one food in all the world I can't eat!! I waited 24 hours before I tried. 1-OPENED-no fishy smell 2-SWALLOWED-no fish taste! (Almost sad-I had gathered pallet cleansers -did not need!!) 3. It tasted like orange flavored gummies! Candy! I appreciated that these exist in a gummy form, as I needed to supplement my prenatals and have not been able to stomach softgels, but the fish taste and especially smell are strong and lingering. I know that my sense of smell is extra sensitive because of pregnancy, but these have been a bit tough. I now understand why the gummy prenatals don't have the 200mg recommended, because it would definitely affect the flavor. Overall, I will definitely finish this bottle, but will look for an alternative moving forward because of the flavor.

They taste good, they're easy to chew, and I like that they're vegan, but they made my stomach hurt and cramp SO bad for days and I finally realized it was these gummies that hurt them. I don't know if it's like that for everyone, but it's not good for my stomach at all.

Since they are vegetarian gummies, I assumed that there would be no fishy smell or taste. Boy, was I wrong! They're absolutely disgusting. 🤢 the second I opened the bottle, I could smell fish and I can smell it on my finger after picking one up out of the bottle. I gave it a shot and tasted it and it tasted gross returning them right away.

I usually take reviews with a grain of salt, which is why even after reading about the horrible fishy taste, I decided to try them for myself. Don't be like me. I listened to reviews and didn't try to smell them. They dont give you a choice, though. As soon as I punctured the seal, a shocking aroma of a stagnant creek bed in July rose from the bottle. I should preface this by saying I do not like fish. I don't even like most vegetarian sushi because the seaweed tastes too fishy, so I knew going in this was a real gamble. However, I do like to form my own opinions, and some things that smell awful can taste okay. I was not prepared for the immediate visceral reaction my body had. My stomach is not generally weak, but the second this gummy hit my tongue, I knew it was not going to go well. A pungent, slightly rotted fish taste exploded the second I bit into it. In less than a second, I went from "I don't want to waste my money and will power through" to desperately leaping for a trash can to remove the foul thing from my mouth. My poor husband heard me retching and came to check on me only to walk in and find me like a feral animal downing drinks and shoving snacks into my mouth like I hadn't seen food in weeks just to try to cover the taste and stop violently gagging. My husband loves seafood. He picked up the bottle to smell it and immediately turned away. Once I was finally able to get the taste out of my mouth and scrubbed the smell from my hands, I knocked the bottle in the trash. It was so bad that even if I had paid $100, I would have thrown it out. Maybe I had an off batch. Maybe some people don't have taste buds. I will say the brief experience I had with these did not have a bad texture, and compared to immediately available alternatives, these were cheaper. I appreciate the brand trying to make an accessible form of omega 3. Definitely sticking to my ovega 3, I was just hoping to find a more readily available source.

Trying to find omega 3 support without flax seeds due to allergies, and without fish burping. Ai suggested this. It supposed to be completely based on an alternative oil. No fish. Upon taking it is vey definitely fishy. And burp producing. Will return it.

Had to fight the urge to vomit. Tried taking them the second day and couldn't get past the smell. Bottle states “orange flavor” which is completely false. Should state “old fermented herring flavor” with orange coloring. Trashed the full bottle.

These taste and smell TERRIBLE. Do NOT buy. Seriously, my kids and I tried for two days and we just couldn't. We just could not eat them. They're horrible. It's the algal oil they use. Save your money.

These omega gummies are the most disgusting thing ever created. The flavor taste just like how rotted fish smells, and the consistency is just like chewing on raw pork fat. its so gross. Do not recommend.
