Where have you been all my life! This makes spreading salt so much easier than you can ever believe. I spread a lot of salt and instead of putting my hand in the bag and throwing it by hand or with a cup was a major pain in the butt! This product is a must buy for anybody that is spreading rock salt or icemelt because it spreads it evenly and the right amount that you want to spread. It also is going to save me all kinds of money because I'm not wasting the rock salt and my time throwing it out by hand or cup. For the price I paid for this, which was about $9, It's worth a lot more than that!

Holes not big enough for the salt.

I read the other reviews. They must have changed the spreader. Mine is made out of plastic, which is fine. But the top doesn't fit the bottom. They are threaded, but the threads don't match properly. You can't screw the top on, you have to force it in place. I'd be afraid to use it. If I fill it with salt and turn it upside down to shake it, I'm afraid the top would fall off and dump all the salt. Save your money and don't buy it. Go to the store and make sure the top and bottom fit properly. Or buy a Big Drink at a convenience store and make your own. At least you get a drink for your money.
