Nice 12Volt Charger, best specs of all I reviewed in this size, without paying $100. 75 Amps (Most 50 amps) for ready-on-demand starting power and 25 amps for a slightly faster than normal charge rate. You will need to buy a trickle charge for smaller batteries like mowers. around $25.00 (1 amp charger) and then your set. Has other nice features like alt check with a programed circuit board. In-depth electrical safety instructions. A Diesel will need two. Very Nice, I'm Impressed. This stops you from buying a jump box (that doesn't last) for your home or the garage. Way to go STANLEY !!! I have had the battery charger about a week now, and I am very impressed. One feature I didn't expect was the ability to revitalize an older battery. I tried this on an older battery, and it brought it back to 100%. We will see how long it will hold a charge.
very,,very happy with this charger...they did some very good thinking on design unlike some other large makers......must read the manual thorouly though...
When it works, It's good. This is the third one I've purchased. The other two failed within several years of ownership. The latest version offers the option of wet cell/AGM or Lipo batteries. Must push the Charge button a second time to charge wet cell/AGM batteries. Switches to trickle charge when battery is fully charged.
Simple plug in and it automatically starts charging at the detected need of amps. The digital display tells you what is happening. Only thing I don't like is that the default charging mode is not automatic and it is set to AMG so you have to click on the start button to change it to Lead Acid.
If your battery is dead or needs deep cycling this charger wil not help. Because of the computer control if your battery is marginal it will not even try and charge it.
Worked for a couple hours and then went dead except 1 option which lighted up but didnt work. went on internet and has happened to others besides other problems
work good for about a month. then stopped/no power. thinking i ll just fix it. took apart and there its was. hot wire coming in was not clamped correctly. burnt. put new connector on. working good again . big surprise ,worked about another month, took apart again and there it was , hot 12volt wire corroded and broken off .look like that chinese copper coated alum wire. solder new connector, working again. give you 3 guesses. stated reading battery voltage wrong. would read voltage a lot higher than real voltage. would stop charging long before battery was full charged. took apart today . one circuit board solder look little burnt, another 10 pin circuit connector cracked and look like it may needed soldering. fix it good this time. TRASH IT. HAPPY NOW.
one month past warrantee and it stopped working. Never got yo try the engine start feature. Called the manufacturer , waited on hold 20 minutes, they never picked up.
Worked fine the first time I used it. On second use, nothing appeared on the LCD screen when I plugged it in. See other ratings that are similar. Piece of junk. Don't waste your money.
