Great Item to out camping or trail walk's

my husband was looking for a container to hold plenty of cold water. this is very like those used years ago.

during Thanksgiving holidays me and my grandson where at the campground and while there we saw boy scouts, he was mesmerized. he watched them learn first aid, how to start a fire, and how to find water and then he saw the amazing canteen. he talked about that canteen all weekend, all the way home and he's talked about it everyday. I bought this for my grandson who will be an amazing boy scout one day

This canteen holds a lot of water for camping or hiking. Others have complained about a leaking cap but I did NOT find that to be the case even with the canteen filled to the very top. I can fill this with Gatorade or it's equivalent for longer hikes and stay hydrated all day long.

My main concern about this product is that the fabric on the outside is not adhered to the metal canister in any way, so it slides freely over the surface. I'm worried this means that the pliable fabric will stretch out in time and not fit tightly. However, it was cheap. I'll give'em that. And, I like how large the capacity is (2L? I don't have it with me).

I had one of these for 10+ years but it finally needed replaced. So I bought this one. First thing I noticed is that the strap was thinner. Sure enough 2 miles into my 8 mi walk the strap was already ripping due to sliding under the top plastic strap guides and being sliced on the thin razor like strap guides. By the end of the 8 miles it was 1/4 way thru the strap
