Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit

You do have to download an app on an Apple or android device. It has very easy to follow instructions. Each of the builds are a fun mission for them to complete.

Kids loved assembling it and making it work. The only reason it has a 4 rating is because the package came with some stickers missing on the sheet. This was ordered as a Christmas gift... otherwise it was a hit with my kids.

I'm giving this a 3 because of the issues with the app. This is a cool toy that we bought to replace going to the Droid creator at Disney. However- users need to know that the App- which is a must to control the droid- is no longer readily available. It will not come up when you search in any app store. If you have an android device there are apk files out there, but I probably spent 2 hours searching and trying different things before I was finally able to install the app. From there it was easy to put together and very cute!

This product is no longer supported by the manufacturer, the software is unavailable, the description doesn't say that. DECEPTIVE MARKETING. DON”T BUY.

Do not buy this if you are in the United States. The app for it is not available in the U.S. since the update, this has been discontinued by the manufacturer, and the seller will not respond to you to fix the issue. Walmart did issue a refund, but my son was heartbroken bc we had just gone to Disney and he didnt get to build one there so I ordered this one as a surprise when he got home. Then he couldnt even use it!

You can no longer download the app because it has been removed due to expired licensing. So no controls exist for the robot. Ours also failed to make the R2 sounds when we turned on the circuit.

Great idea but it doesn't work. The company has abandoned the app necessary for learning assembly instructions and operating remote/bluetooth. So we have a toy in pieces that we can't assemble because the app. doesn't exist anymore. Wish I had known that before I bought it. Is it legal to advertise and sell a toy that is incomplete?

So incredibly disappointed! This was at the top of my son's wish list this Christmas. The app is gone from the app store. You can no longer download it anywhere. The droid doesn't even have instructions as they are supposed to be in the non-existent app. And even if you build it, you cannot control it without the app! Total waste of money!

The package came with a note that said "works only with android". As a result, we had to return the toy. That information should have been provided on the site for all potential buyers to see.

WARNING- An app is required to make this toy work. The app is no longer available from either Apple or Google. None of the electronics in the kit can operate anymore.
