I ordered this card online with another purchase. The card was delivered within four hours, but when I tried to add the pin number on my plan, it wouldn't work. I called on a Friday and was instructed on how to send documentation to verify my purchase. On Monday morning , a representative contacted me and told me the plan was added. All agents at Straight Talk were courteous in attending my issue as was an online agent at Walmart online sevice. Had it not been the weekend, the issue would probably have been resolved quicker. I'm still a satisfied Walmart and Straight Talk customer after 8 years of service.
Wow, I loved the product, this is my second one. The problem is in the shipping and setup. The problem was dealing with Walmart vrs Straight-talk who operate the product. First time I went to Straight-talk because it showed it in the Walmart listing as the product. They lost it in the mail and returned it. Took 2 weeks to find out the problem that I was not going to get the device. So I then reordered the product straight though Walmart. What a treat, got it the next day! But another problem during setup. The device comes with side order of sim card, which I paid at time of ordering. After receiving device I called them to set it up as per instruction, they charged me again $17 for the sim card or would not complete setup. Now I'm waiting for Walmart to settle my over charge. But the HOME PHONE IS CURRENTLY operating correctly and as expected. I would buy again but be very careful in the purchase process and only buy direct from Walmart.
I ordered the Straight Talk phone card online and it was delivered. When I went to use it would not work. Talked to Straight Talk and they told me it was not activated properly and to talk to Walmart. When I went to Walmart they told me there was nothing they can do and talk to Straight Talk. Pretty sad that two big companies like Verizon (which owns Straight Talk) and Walmart are not backing their products and stealing from customers.
If I could zero stars to Walmart, I would. - Worst experience purchasing this item as curbside pickup (6600 Glenwood Ave Raleigh). We purchased the setup for home phone for the kids. Didn't discover until we got home that the calling card wasn't activated. Went back and NO ONE (several managers) at Walmart could rectify the issue and acted as if we had done something wrong. Spent over an hour in customer service to find out the pickup manager (Pedro) probably sends these out the door without activation codes every single time. They finally sent me out the door with a copy of the receipt and a way to contact (email) the company for the activation code. Walmart needs to stop scamming customers by giving them worthless inactivated plastic cards. Get it together, Walmart.
the card would not work I tried it several times I even called straight talk it would not work with them but they didn't offer me my money back because it was an online machine and I had to purchase a card online and I want a refund from for this $15 that I paid for this card or 18.74 tax and government charges and all
it was delivered and we erased the number on the back of the card called straight talk 3 times they said something wrong with the numbers, Someone.said the store didn't scan it right or something wrong. do took it back to Walmart store so said have to talk with a number they. gave us. someone said they won't help. so we're out 15. 00 ando.
On activation said that it was not compatible with my device. and getting through to straight is a nightmare. Will not purchase again and am considering discontinuing use of the product and getting a landline installed again, or maybe a new cell phone through my contract.
I don't know yet. Walmart worker didn't scan the straight talk card and it became useless. straight talk customer service could not use it to activate their wireless phone Base. I wasted a whole day with them before I found out what the problem was. Now I have to buy another card at the store and try again. I originally ordered the card from walmart.com with the straight talk wireless phone Base. Walmart needs to tell the people working there that the cell phone and the phone cards have to be scanned for the phone companies to recognized them as bought and not stolen.
DO NOT BUY ONLINE!!!! This should not even be available for online purchase. I ordered online for store pickup, and it was never scanned. I am jumping through HOOPS to get this issue resolved! I keep getting the run around from my Walmart store and Straight Talk. I physically went to customer service and the manager is slow and doesn't understand that whoever packed my order did not SCAN my card so it was active. I told him they basically sold me a useless piece of cardboard. DO NOT make the mistake I did. I didn't read reviews because I mean, its a card what is there to review?? DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! Purchase this in store ONLY!
Rating: 1/5. Purchased Straight Talk card via Walmart online pickup (Oneonta, AL %23315), but PIN wasn't activated. Called Straight Talk—they directed me back to store. After no callback, I visited in person. Service desk accused me of scamming despite receipt proof. Manager eventually replaced card, but associate Amy's insinuations were insulting. As a veteran's caregiver relying on this phone, the ordeal was unacceptable. Won't purchase electronics online from Walmart again.
