The biggest tip is not to buy the data card that is non refundable if you have any problems. I called Straight Talk first and they told me after I purchased and received the unit, to call back and purchase the data and set up the service through them. It went perfectly smooth and everything works great.

Excellent purchase. After becoming so frustrated with Antitiem Broadband lack of customer service, constantly having connection issues and in a three year period going from 80 dollars a month to 130 I had enough. Glad I made the switch. Set up in 10 minutes and running smoothly.

I ordered this for my sis in law after purchasing my own straight talk home router. I love it! never buffers, im.swt up on auto pay so it never goes out. You fully own it and you dont get hit with extra taxes and fees or price increases. your plan us $45 a month after purchasing your home router. you cant beat it! you can also take it with you if you go on vacation! i cant say enough great things about straight talk home router!!!

I'm telling yall that this is well worth the money...I had doubts about it I didn't think the connection would be good but it is and it's fast! My other internet I was pay 160 a month and the connection was sorry but now I'm saving so much money and I'm getting great service connection...I'm blessed! Give it a chance!

it is a good device if you want Internet and not have to sign up with a contract. I'm on the 45 dollar a month plan and the Internet connection has worked fine for me. sometimes, I have to unplug it and plug it back in but that's only when there's bad weather. I live in Texas, so I've only had to do it a total of 3 times. I've had this Internet for 3 months now and I plan to use it for a long time.

I've had the Straightalk WiFi gateway for several months and absolutely recommend it. I have 5G connectivity and runs all my streaming devices perfectly. I haven't had any issues at all and because I autopay the service is only $35/mo unlimited. It is the answer to cutting the cord! I estimate I am saving at least $45-$100/month based on local basic cable rates.

I just happened to stumble across this as I was looking at phones on the Straight Talk site. I live in a rural area that has horrendous phone reception regardless of which service you have. ST has the best signal, but it still has pretty poor reception, so I was pretty skeptical about the chances of this router working very well. After a rep said I could return it if it didn't work, I decided that for the price, it was worth giving it a try. I first put it where my old router was, but it got no signal. I then put it in a window facing another direction and almost immediately got the ready light, and running a speed test showed something like 30mb download speed. My old service maxed out at around 7, so I was happy with 30! I raised it a couple feet and the speed about doubled, so I moved it upstairs and the speed went up to over 100, and I was astonished. After I'd found the best spot, I wondered if the walls and floor between it and my computer weren't degrading the signal and ran an ethernet cable and the download speed jumped to over 200mb. All in all, if I can get the maximum speed the service offers, I am sure that most people can also get excellent signal without having to use a cable. In summary, it's about 30 times faster than what I had, and I don't have to worry about exceeding a bandwidth limit. The monthly charge is about $15 less than what I was paying. Another big factor is the purchase price of the unit. My old one was about shot, and a new one was over $500, and if I were to return it for some reason, the restocking fee was about twice what this one cost. Few things you buy far exceed your greatest expectations, but this router did in every way. The only thing I can't comment on is longevity, but in the 6 weeks I've had it, it's been trouble-free.

There are definitely better options out there. If you need Wi-Fi for watching TV shows or movies then this would be great for you… as long as no one else is also connected to it. It’ll work great and then lose connection at the most random times so be ready for that. If you’re using this for gaming, don’t. You will rage 100%. All in all, choose something else if you can.

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK WITH STRAIGHT TALK TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS IN YOUR AREA DO NOT BUY BEFORE LOOKING INTO IT. I bought mine without research and they sell it in the area but it doesn’t work in the area they are selling it. Which makes no sense. There should be something stating this before purchase on the Walmart app.

I was told by customer service that this would work and when I received it NO it did NOT, now after buying a 45.00 card and the 69.99 box I am out of money and I am mad. Yes I am going to return the box but I was told the 45.00 card I can't return. So I am out of 45.00 and I am very angry.
