Taylor Digital Glass Platform White Base Food Scale and Kitchen Scale

This small scale is perfect for weighing food in ounces and up to 6 pounds. It's easy to use and I like the fact that it is so small it doesn't take up counter space. It stays clean as food doesn't need to sit on the glass plate. There is a feature that allows you to place your own plate onto the scale, hit the button and it deducts the weight of the plate. Then add your food to the plate for an accurate measurement.

I have been trying to do better with watching what I eat but something that has been a hinderance was not knowing the weight of certain foods. I typically would only measure in volume (1/2 cup of this, 1 cup of that) however realized the serving size for a lot of food (i.e. poultry and meat) are only provided in ounces or grams. After purchasing the scale I realized that sometimes I eat more or less than the suggested serving size and thus was not accurately counting the calories. I love the design and that it takes up minimal space on my counter. Also, I love that I can set the plate or cup on the scale, reset to zero and then add the food or drink directly to it while it still was on the scale. The limit on the scale is 6.6 lbs, which I think is more than adequate for my needs. My only gripe (which is quite small) is that if you are placing a big bowl or big plate on the scale, you do have to lean down and peak under it in order to read the weight. That's it! All in all, I've only had it a couple weeks, but I'm pleased with it so far and think it is money well spent.

The product is really nice. The buttons are easy to touch, responds nicely, tare is useful, and what I like most about the product is that it uses a glass top as oppose to metal like other scales. Unfortunately, there is a draw back. It uses those expensive round lithium batteries than a double AA or triple AAA batteries. I was looking for a nice budget scale and I knew replacing the batteries are going to be expensive in the long run. For those who wouldn't mind replacing expensive lithium batteries, this product is awesome, can't go wrong with it. But for those who are like me that needs a cheap budget affordable kitchen scale, look into Ozeri scale. It's just as good as this, reliable, accurate, and uses AAA batteries instead. Good luck.

I make candles and I've been using this scale to weigh out my paraffin wax. I'm very happy with it; Easy to read and I haven't run into any technical problems. It's quite sturdy and very easy to clean (which is saying a lot when you're dealing with candle wax). I like that it's lightweight and its portability/ease at moving around, something I'm constantly having to do in my little kitchen workspace. I only wish there were a separate "off" button but other than that, it's perfect.

It's okay. I expected it to give me a three/four digit ounce number ie, 1.257 like it showed on advertisement. I just opened it though I purchased it some weeks ago. I am working with chemicals and need accuracy. I have a scale, but needed a separate one for my project and used it otherwise, I would have sent it back. As far as the scale holding over six pounds, it's a little shaky, and because I am working with pounds of oily liquid, I am reluctant to see if it will in fact hold the weight. Overall, it is and will be okay for minor weighing. Comparing it to the other scale I have, it is fairly accurate. I would recommend it for light weighing. I cannot attest to its ability beyond two pounds. I hope this helps.

The device is powered with lithium batteries that ensuring long durability.", it does no calculations at all. It merely weighs the food in either ounces or grams.

When I first bought this product, it worked great. After about two months is just worked randomly. I would turn it on and everything looked great, but when I put anything on it to weigh it, it just stayed at zero! I tried everything. About an hour later, just for kicks and giggles I tried it again, and it worked. This went off and on for about another month to the point that I just gave up. I need something dependable. It's only a best seller because it has the "Biggest Loser" name on it, but it doesn't last. Really sorry I wasted $25 on it (now it's cheaper, but still not worth it).

I'm trying to decide if I want to return it! I'm replacing my old scale (same brand, same style) that worked great for more than ten years. Unfortunately, the window on this one is darker (harder to see), the display is different (the ounces, grams etc.) there's an extra zero! You can't turn it off; you need to waist two minutes of battery for it to turn off automatically! I've had it for almost two days and the new battery it came with is already dead! I only use it to weigh my dogs food and treats, and these batteries are not cheap! So sad!

item said you could count carbs, fat, calories ,etc. it doesn't have a way to calculate this information. Product didn't work upon arrval. reread instructions,etc. didn't weigh anything. First time dissappointed with a walmart.com product. I did get to print a free return postage label. Waiting on credit to my account.
