Troy-Bilt 25cc 16" Gas Straight Shaft String Trimmer, TB25SB

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes a little hard to start with my bad back. But it does start and runs beautifully, light enough I can one hand it at times. This model is the only model I buy for the last 20 yrs, when I need a new trimmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 20 tear old troybilt trimmer for a new model after it no longer became feasible or cost effective to repair. While I enjoy the upgrade it seems (like just about everything) theses days, is built much cheaper and I bet will not last 20 years like my previous trimmer. With that on the record it starts easy and runs great.

Wasn't what I expected. It was hard to start and it didn't like to stay running. Troy Bilt has always been a good product.

I purchased this unit about 2 years ago to maintain a rugged 2 acre cottage property, and my first observation was that it lacked power. Motor bogs down and stalls out as soon as you get into deeper grass. Also, the head spins even at idle meaning you have to keep shutting off unit to untangle. Grass gets very tightly pulled into gap between head and shaft and have to use a pocket knife to remove. Compounding the issue, the unit is hard to start once warm. That was when new, but now 2 years later, despite a complete cleaning and tune-up of carb, the unit stalls out once it gets hot (after about 15 mins. of use) and I can't restart it. I get the impression that it overheats and ceases up. I have several properties and string trimmers including another Troy Bilt trimmer, but this one is terrible. I now need to replace this 2 year old trimmer since it has become totally unreliable. I definately will not be buying another Troy Bilt.

One pile of garbage. Ordered it and took over a week to get. Only used it 35 minutes before the coil went out. Took it back to my local Walmart and they refused to refund or replace. They told me to contact CPO company that shipped it. They told me the same thing. No replacement or refund to call Troy built. They said send it back to be looked at for $79 shipping fee to see what they could do. I don't think so. I only used this pile of garbage for 35 minutes before it stopped working. Stay away from this junk at Walmart they will not warranty anything you buy online.

Husband is 6 foot four way too short of a shaft. Also, this was returned item supposed to be brand new.

No power and extremely hard to get started . Returned after 1 use . I wouldn't recommend this item !

We used this weedeater one time and it will not crack back. It's junk and I have reached out for a refund and no one has responded
