I use this large can of Veg All when I make a Chicken Pot Pie. This is the perfect size for the pie and I also cook a couple of Idaho potatoes and chop them in small pieces to add to recipe . This is the perfect amount after mixing it all together with chicken pieces and a large spoon full of Campbell's cream of chicken soup. Perfect! Don't forget the Pilsbury 2 layer crust!
It's an easy quick meal fix. For making chicken and dumplings,Potpies, beef soups. Stores great in a can .So you can have a quick addition to soups of all sorts year round. Especially in winter time. So much time and money saved not chopping fresh veggies . And you don't have the waste of trying to deal with fresh veggies before they go bad. My short example- 2cans of veg all , 2 lg cans of diced tomatoes,3 boxes of beef broth , 1/2 pkg of brown gravy and preferred seasoning ( I like lots of garlic) , 2 cans of roast beef or fresh beef cuts. And throw it all in my quick cooker and have a good stew in about 1hr. Enjoy
In a medium large cooking pot I make gravy out of chicken or beef stock with cornstarch to thicken it, then I add a large can of canned Veg-All mixed vegetables, along with a medium diced onion %26 AT THE STORES DELI ask them to shred up 20 ounces of cooked pork, cooked chicken or cooked Roast beef from your stores deli, have it sliced into thin shavings, added to the above. Heat, season with salt %26 pepper whilt stirring it all up,,, put a plate of bread, soda crackers OR both on the table AND this family of 5 eats real well with a soup bowl full of the above fixings %26 for very little money. Try it you may get hooked on this simple uncostly meal yourself like I was!!!
veg-all is the only brand i buy . i use it in my meat loaf or my chicken pot-pies , chicken and dumplings . great price and you always have some left over . taste good , not like can ...never had a problem with the veggies being soggy .
I always check expire date on all canned products Sometimes I may have some at home and want a lasting date. These are my favorite in my vegetable beef soup. Very good veggies in casseroles or soups.
These mixed vegetables are the ideal thing to use when making homemade soup. If you use this, it prevents you from having to open a bunch of induvidual cans.
I buy veg all a lot for casserols this way the children get all of their veggies in one dish we like it very much and use it often. It is a good all around product for many uses!
I don't know what it is with these company's and their mixed veggies. Do they not like green beans. There are always a lot of corn and carrots. Not too much of anything else. I always have to add extra green beans to my soups. I should have taken a picture. It always helps with the reviews. And I always try to do so. But I forgot. Here is one of the soup in making. You can see mostly carrots and corn.
Switched back to Great Value brand for better results. The only thing that these brought to the dinner was a larger can size. Will not be buying this brand in the future.
Came completely dented in multiple places on all sides. Looks like it was used for bowling. Whoever prepared my delivery order, definitely knew the can was dented severely in three spots. Do they think we have money to throw away? Would they appreciate someone delivering to them dented cans? My driver did not cause this, it was the Walmart associate who picked the order. Apparently they wanted to get rid of their old dented stock since people shopping at the store would never purchase this item. Not pleased at all.
