I took a chance on compact. I only needed to keep tires above 32 PSI for my cars have the indicator light that comes on when any tire including spare goes below its factory setting. It worked great but did get a little warm on tire than was 12 lbs low. Only used 2 times & 2nd was get but 6 to 8 lbs was all that was neeeded. Excellent price for my needs. The hose blew on the so called top brand 300 psi after 1 year. Impressed it does have metal gears but housing is plastic so don't drop it from 4 or more feet. Feel sure will crack. For keeping tirees at factory level, excellent. If you have a flat it not for you it would burn up by observing it warmed up after 10 lbs.
I had a opportunity to use the Wagan today it works great. Easier to use than gas station air pumps. It lets you see how much air is in your tire immediately. I love it and the price was very economically. I will no longer have to drive to a station ton put air in my car tires anymore. This unit is great.
It works well, but don't let it overheat, as these types of machines will overheat, the aluminum housing of the compressor will expand & leak air--then it's useless from then on. I wasn't expecting the light to be very bright & it isn't--just a low/medium brightness, but better than nothing; can't use the light & compressor at same time.
I thought this will not do so well,I was wrong it aired up 2 tires in a short time.Really like the press on tire valve adapter.Beats the screw on type.
Pleased with my purchase. Price was right. Worked like a charm. It pumped up my truck tires fast! I was quite surprised. I'm a 73 year old woman, so anyone can use this product.
I have to admit I was skeptical if this would actually work as advertised. But sure enough it did just exactly that. Took about 17 minutes or less to air up 2 tires. Great for the price and can take it with you on trips. That's a win...win situation. I would not hesitate recommending this especially as a light duty compressor.
When I got it my first thought was. Gosh it's tiny, it would never be able to pump more than I bicycle tire with it. Sure enough to I pumped a 26575r15 mud tire and a 27580r17. Takes awhile to fill them but for how much (cheap)the little bugger costs everyone should have one of these lying around. I hook it up, get my radio going, and clean out my car while I'm waiting for it to pump. MUST BUY
I checked the air level in each tire & it worked because one tire had more air than the other 3 so I fixed that. The light works great. I didn't air any tires as none needed any yet but I did turn on the air switch & it definitely works. I will say that because this is small & light, you may want to hold it while using - not necessary but I held it. The cord you plug into the cigarette burner is very long & I had no problem with it. I put tape on the outside of a larger box & put this compressor inside & put into my car trunk. It was a little hard to try & wrap everything & put into the back area & if I'm in a hurry I won't want to mess with it - so problem solved with a larger box. I am so glad I purchased this - And with the low price, it is good to have for when I need it - even if not very often.
Bought my 1st one on amazon, it lasted about 10 years. Dropped it a couple times. Eventually would no longer generate pressure. Used it on all our bikes and cars. Takes a while for cars because they require so much air, but works like a charm. This one from WM is the same exact one and it works great like the other one.
ordered two of these which arrived today andtested them on my air tank. Both units ran pretty consistant with each other putting out approximately five pounds a minute. I ran them each for only five minutes as not to overwork the units. I ran them off of a portable jump starter in order to avoid any damage to a vehicle. units did not get hot, but i don't think i would run them for more than seven or eight minutes before giving it a rest break - more than enough time to get to thirty-thirty five pounds in a tire. we'll see if they hold up....
